I am wondering whether I can fit a bike lock (U lock) through to secure the cover to a wheel.** A: Hello. The eyelet holes are standard size - to put ties through to secure the cover when leaving long-term, not locks. The version that has a slot for a lock is the URBAN BikeParka - which has a lock-through slot of approximately 30cm on each side. So plenty of room for a U-lock with that version. Thanks. **Q: Will the xl fit over a petrol scooter and back box?** A: It's oversized so it might , but would need to check the measurement of your particular scooter. Please be aware there is no heat-proofing for hot exhaust pipes - some motorcycle covers have that feature. And its shapes is designed specifically for bicycles. **Q: Review by chris claims the xl handlebar width must be wrong as it is tight over 72cm handlebars. is this correct?** A: We have the XL and find it ok for bikes of that handlebar width. For info we have used it for two bikes mounted both in parallel and handlebar to back wheel and found it ok. In both configurations we have cut old tennis balls and put them over the handlebar ends to spread the load on the material at those points. **Q: How do you measure the size you need per bike and can these be used when transporting a bike on a roof rack?** A: I would alway go larger then it’s easy to get on (I’ve had a couple). The XL fits on my upright hybrid bike with a child seat on the back and basket on front. I would not use it on a roof rack. I also have a small front rack on my bike. Again, something the cover claims to be designed to deal with.If you look at the illustration on the instructions, it's pretty much my bike. However, if you look at the illustration of how the cover should fit, it is nothing like how mine fits."Make sure the arrow is facing forward" claim the instructions. What arrow?It does cover the bike, I'll give it that, but it is such an ill fitting shape. The pully/toggles seem entirely ineffective, making barely any difference when at their tightest or loosest.It's not had a very thorough weather test yet, but after a few light showers the material does seem to be very water repellant.
