Zanussi ZOF35802XK Multifunction Electric Built Under Double Oven - Stainless Steel

I suspect this oven is out of production now but some sellers still have stock, hence this review as it may help someone contemplating this oven.We replaced a 25 year old Stoves oven with the ZOF35802XK and the Stoves not only cooked perfectly but also maintained whatever temperature you requested. We used an oven thermometer and a digital oven probe to monitor temperatures in both the Stoves and the Zanussi plus we also use the probe with our Panasonic convection microwave, which is incredibly accurate with temperatures.We were expecting a big improvement with the Zanussi, given the 25 years separating the two ovens but that is sadly not the case.The top oven is fan assisted and uses the grill heating elements to heat the cavity but temperatures in the top are generally 30c higher than those selected plus it cooked unevenly, even allowing for the temperature discrepancy.The bottom oven is a true fan oven with a heating element around the fan itself but this oven is also around 20c higher than the temperature selected. To add insult to injury, the temperature selector only has increments of 25c, so 150c, 175c and 200c, which is just crazy as it means constant tweaking of the selector whilst monitoring an oven thermometer until you achieve the temperature you require for baking. How can this be deemed acceptable on a modern oven?!I appreciate a small margin of error should be expected in most ovens but not such a massive discrepancy in temperatures as displayed by the ZOF35802XK and I'm not the only reviewer to experience this.Build quality is average, only one rack per cavity, no handle for the grille pan and all four control knobs feel like they won't last more than a few years, so I have already bought two spares.Avoid!
