Lethal Bayou Beauty

After completing the first book of this series I IMMEDIATELY purchased the 2nd and am now ANXIOUSLY ready to begin the 3rd. The characters are so witty, funny and cleaver.

I have read the first two books in the series and am looking forward to the third. The books are fairly quick, but fun reads, with just enough serious thoughts and topics to also make one stop and think about more than just the storyline.

This set of books is just what you need if you are down. You won't be for long! The characters are great and the circumstances they find themselves in will have you rolling in laughter. I love it.

The second book in the series of Miss Fortune and her meddling, masterful, and feisty old lady crew, finds them determined to solve the murder of a prissy, pain in the arse, beauty Queen. Add spoiled to that description!Fortune, as usual, will find herself in the middle of the muck and mud, literally trying to prove innocence.DeLeon has a knack for writing strong female leads, and fortuitously funny situations!The voice chosen for the Audible accompaniment is quite smooth and subtle. She has a knack for the southern sassy voice, and you can pretty much tell the characters from each other. Her voice makes the lovable, laugh out loud moments even better!On to the next book. Let’s see what kind of spontaneous shenanigans the crew can come up with this time.As always, my artistic alliteration of a review is only my opinion. Read and/or listen to the wonderful words that the author conveys, and make your own decision.Ta-ta!

Such a delightful series. Miss Fortune and the two old ladies are too funny. I have laughed my way thru two books and will continue with the next book in the series.

I laugh so hard at the antics the 2 leaders of the Sinful women manage to get Fortune involved in. It is very enjoyable to read these books. Looking forward to #3.

I love Sinful’s residents. They are lovable and irascible. The plot really kept me guessing whodunnit until the killer was announced. I’m already purchasing book number three.

A fun read. Also read book 1, which is a great setup for the series. Buying book now. Great for hard times and much better than bad TV.

The characters are still engaging and entertaining in this sequel. The plot is strong enough to hold the interest without killing the ‘cosy’. Few,if any, typos; well written; several laugh out loud moments - perfect for this rainy afternoon!

Loved it- second book in the series is as good as the first.Fortune finds herself accused of murder after the return of a cheating beauty queen ( the daughter of the Celia - the geriatric catholic sprinter she beat to Francine's Cafe for Sunday banana pudding) is found dead in her mother's kitchen.Her two sleuthing partners Ida and Gertie with some help from the recently "freed" Marie and her new friend Ally manage to annoy sheriff Carter while trying to keep Fortune from a life behind bars.Funny and clever a really good read.

After reading book one I Bought book two 24 hours later I am debating should I buy book three. I love the quirky affordable but deadly characters and the action is nonstop. It comes with moments of hilarity and handedness that has me giggling and laughing so much at one point I was crying. Yeah going to get book 3 for to see if the romance moves up a notch

I loved this second book in the miss fortune series !! The characters are great and the story is sure to have you hanging on to every word. This book has plenty of mystery, some action and plenty of laugh out loud moments that will have you struggling to put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book !!

Comical crime/mystery book, just what I needed. I’m not too taken with grisly, nasty crime novels (they touch too much on reality, so not much escapism for me) however this series is different. The characters are just fantastic, the story flows well, before you know it you want the next book!! After reading the first book I was hooked. Love the Miss Fortune series!! Great characters, which you’ll soon love.
