Bravo, Korg.
I have generally always been somewhat critical of Korg keyboards, since the days of the Trinity and Triton keyboards. I remember buying a Trinity and marvelling at the high tech, the wonderful touchscreen, the efficiency of the system, the completeness of the sequencer (and this has always been true of Korg keyboards). But the sounds, in my opinion, were never a match for Yamaha or Roland. I remember going back to the shop one week later after getting the Trinity, and getting a Roland XP-80 instead, and I really loved the sounds of the XP. I remember being completely astonished at the sound of the pipe organ of the XP, the pipe organ sound on the Trinity wasn't a match for that. However, I always preferred the Korg sequencers to all the others. The sequencers in the Yamaha PSR or Tyros, is useless, and the one in the Motif range is a mess. PS. I keep discovering some truly amazing sounds. And the guitar mode is BRILLIANT. It works so well and it sounds REALLY good. Trust me, because classical guitar is my main instrument. And us experienced classical guitarists are REALLY picky. The last 'guitar mode' I tried on a keyboard, was on a Roland E-60, and I wasn't impressed. But on the Korg, it's really sweet! Right before trying it, I thought : 'Guitar Mode? Yeah, right. I have heard 'guitar modes' before. But the one on the Korg is impressive. I wish there were spanish guitar techniques in Guitar Mode, too, such as rasgueado, but hey, you can't have everything. The PA300 ROCKS. The only comparable arranger 'workstation' at this price is the Yamaha PSR-S670, which compared to the PA300 is a TOY. The sounds aren't anywhere as good, the sequencer is non existent. I am so convinced that I will get a PA900 soon or later. A spec not stated by Korg is that the PA300 even has a 1.1 gb internal drive! You can store a ton of user data on that. In that respect, I fully believe that Yamaha PSRS keyboards and even the Tyros, are for amateurs. True, they have wonderful sounds, but that's all you get, and nothing else. The Yamaha keyboards are aimed at the hobbyist who's happy just playing his cheesy covers. But if you are someone who's seriously interested in making YOUR own music, Yamaha will not be able to supply you with a keyboard for THAT type of job. Korg does that. Korg gives you a COMPLETE instrument, and a PROFESSIONAL one, unlike Yamaha. and the new PA range But not the sequencers found in Korgs. My last Korg had been the PA500. A good board for the money, and again an excellent sequencer. But the sounds were not as polished as the ones found in equivalent Yamaha Psr boards. But the sequencer, again, was a proper one. Well, with the PA300, at this price, I can't really complain. Again we have a professional sequencer that still gets a lot done very quickly. You have the usual multitraker, as well as the 'easy recording' (very clever), and , essential, a 'chord track', where you can edit and change the chords. It's weird, but Roland doesn't put a chord track on their arrangers, at all, which completely defeats the purpose of an arranger keyboard, since you will have to edit the accompaniment in your piece, track by track. In other words, with Roland you only get a LINEAR sequencer. With Yamaha, you GET a chord track, but you can't edit the chords later, if you record in realtime. Well, the Korg PA range CAN do all that, and to me this point is MAJOR. Plus, the sounds are certaInly an improvement with respect to the PA500. This is truly a pro arranger board for a very reasonable price. Certainly there's nothing else like that at the price. The PSRS boards from Yamaha have nice sounds, but amateurish sequencer. The Korg wins hands down. UPDATE: I have so far had the PA300 for a few days, and spent many hours in total concentration and focus on recording. I am now a total Korg convert. I have compared Korg PAs in detail with everything else out there, and for my requirements and my money, only Korg makes the type of instrument I want. The PA300 is surely the best arranger keyboard you can find at this price, bar none. The only remotely comparable keyboard to the PA300 is the Yamaha PSR-670, an amateurish instrument compared to the Korg PA300. The PA300 has a lot of updated, high quality sounds and the sequencer and editing level is truly remarkable at this price. Well deserving of the word 'professional' on the keyboard. I will stick with Korg from now on. Well done Korg. UPDATE: I also now had a Yamaha PSRS-750. In theory, it should beat the PA300, instead I am returning the PSRS-750, which has some better sounds (but with this I do NOT mean that the Korg pa doesn't sound very good, because it does) but I can't do anything with it's poor sequencer. Note that the PSR-s750 costs about 300 dollars more than the Korg. The PA300, for me, still wins by a mile. You can hear that Korg has made an effort to improve the sounds, which they did, and the pro sequencer does pretty much all I need....I record a lot and I detest computers.

I tried it out in worship yesterday
Keyboard has no left and right oup-port but I am trying to read the manual in case there is a way to compensate for this. Great sounds! I love the light-weight feature.

Great sounds
Great sounds and easy to understand. Really enjoyed trying this keybaord. Will need to return it as there is only one audio output amd when i connect it to the soundboard i lose the ability to use the internal speakers as a monitor. I would need to buy a small mixer and a monitor to lug with me. Ridiculous when the keyboard has speakers built in but they arent usable when connected to sound system.

Nice keyboard. arrived in better than expected condition and on time. Many instrumenttal sounds are excellent.I found some arranger patterns a little sterile sounding and keyboardish, especially the rock patterns.hence the 4 instead of five stars. Also it arrived with no user manual and all though its available free online alot of time and ink was needed to print a 200plus page document. The major drawback is no midi in/out/through. Advertised as an "stage performance" keyboard this is a big limitation. Can't connect modules, harmonizers or other keyboards.
