Acer Chromebook Plus 515 Laptop with Google AI – 15.6" Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS Touch Display | Intel Core i3-1305U | 8GB LPDDR5X | 256GB SSD | Wi-Fi 6E | FHD Camera | Chrome OS | CB515-2HT-33M4

I've always said Chromebooks are great for most people, but not for me. I need a machine that can handle serious multi-tasking. Well, enter the Chromebook Plus, stage right. This machine finally handles the workload I require. Unlike Windows, ChromeOS doesn't require huge resources, so the 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD are more than sufficient. I routinely run 25+ tabs and 10 or so apps at once, and this lean, mean multi-tasking machine just keeps up, thanks to the Intel Core i3 "oomph." It even has a quiet fan, so it never gets too hot under a heavy processing load. The "Plus" features are what seal the deal for me. The AI-enhanced 1080p webcam controls are built right into the dock and make me look fabulous. But the real value? It includes a free year of Google's Gemini Advanced program. That's over a $250 value (with tax), which means if you get this on sale, the device practically pays for itself! The hardware is solid. Battery life is an easy 10-12 hours depending on what settings you're using. The FHD touchscreen is bright and crisp, and the upward-facing stereo speakers are a game-changer—no more muffled sounds coming from underneath the keyboard! It's also super light weight at just over 3 lbs with great WiFi 6 and Bluetooth. And did I mention that Chromecast is built right in? There's even a Pomodoro mode for serious productivity, as well as Do Not Disturb modes to keep you from distractions. The AI-enhanced mics are excellent for calls, too as my contact sometimes think I'm in the same room as they are. One of my few complaints is the keyboard. It's not backlit, and the standard Chromebook layout has a weird slant if you're used to a PC QWERTY keyboard like I am. You get used to it, but it could be better. My only wish? That I'd bought this sooner. I now do about 90% of my computing on this Chromebook Plus. It handles light video editing and software development just fine. But for heavy-duty compiling or video rendering, I still turn to my Windows machine (since this only has 8GB). And of course there is the odd program that will only run on Windows. But for everything else, this is my go-to, daily computing device now. Whether you choose this Acer or another Chromebook "Plus" model, you can't go wrong. Like me, you'll wonder why you didn't switch sooner. And the eco-friendly packaging is just a bonus that seals the deal.

It was time for me to purchase a new computer. after looking at options i decided to buy this one. I had a older samsung chromebook and never cared for it very much but i decided to give chromebooks another try. Boy am i glad i did. this thing is great for what i use it for, which is browsing the internet and what little bit of work i have to do on it. the speed is super fast and the touch screen is convient. the sound is pretty good for streaming your favorite shows. I actually use the AI system that it came with more than i though i would. would definetely purchase again!

I bought this Acer Chromebook Plus 515 for my daughter's first year of online school, and it has exceeded my expectations. The 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen is bright, clear, and gives her plenty of space for virtual classes, assignments, and research. It starts up quickly, runs smoothly with multiple tabs open, and handles Google Classroom, Zoom, and other school apps without any issues. The battery life easily gets her through the school day, and the keyboard is comfortable for typing assignments. I also appreciate the fast Wi-Fi connection and the clear webcam for video classes. Overall, it's an excellent value for the price and has been a reliable laptop for both schoolwork and everyday use. I would definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a dependable Chromebook for their student's online learning.

I really like this Chromebook. It works great, has all I need for basic computer work, is fast, but the battery doesn’t even last an hour when unplugged! Disappointing.

I had written a very negative review on this computer and I've just deleted it because it wasn't the computer's problem after all!! I have an issue with my account, so I thought that after buying 2 computers and both doing the same thing . .I blamed the computer . .but nothing is wrong with the computer. In fact, I have ended up buying it again and getting the problem solved was the real reason for it not working correctly. This is a great chromebook . .sorry for that bad report before.

WARNING: Does NOT have a backlit keyboard! Description is wrong.I ordered this exact model (CB515-2HT-33M4) specifically because the "Input & special features" section in the description explicitly says it has a backlit keyboard. It does not!Acer makes several versions of the Chromebook Plus 515, and this specific sub-model does not physically have the light bulbs inside the keyboard. Even the internal ChromeOS software settings say "no shortcut assigned" because the hardware isn't there. If you are buying this because you need to see your keys in the dark, do not buy this model. Amazon's page layout is grouping different models together and sharing incorrect information. I had to return mine immediately. one star because I did not use it. but i think it is a good machine.

Great screen and sound, great performance and battery life. Very good value.

Overall this is a very nice Chromebook -- with the latest version OS, a big 15" touchscreen, seemingly good build-quality and good form/function. But the claim of "up to 10 hours of battery life" is a big fat lie. Maybe if you're not doing anything with it? Like if the screen is in sleep mode for most of the time while you have a single or just a couple documents displayed? Maybe then the battery would last 5 or 6 hours...but even then, no way 10 hours. I use my Chromebook pretty normally, to browse the web, do social media, watch some videos, handle email and write documents....doing this, the brand new battery in this brand new computer lasts 2 to 3 hours. Not good!

El computador se apaga repentinamente, no funciona y además dan menos de un mes para hacer devoluciones. NO COMPREN
