Japanese gorefest at it's weirdest
Bloody, gory, bloody, goofy and did I mention bloody? If you're into the weirdness that can come from a lot of Japanese movies (not in a bad way), and enjoy gallons and gallons of blood squirting all over the place from a papercut, you'll love this movie.

Not a kids movie. Honest depiction of
The movie went out of it's way to mimic the Japanese graphic novel with a very low budget.

If you happen to be a fan of Troma movies, this may be as enjoyable for you as it was for me.
The first fifteen minutes or so is pretty darn boring. The story tries to drag us into the lives of broken people at a snails pace. The lead character is likable enough but quite boring. The leading lady is cute as a button. After about fifteen minutes the gloves come off and the weirdness hits pretty much full force. There is a contrived method of keeping the combatants in a confined area for mass slaughter effect. There is eventually a fair amount of bouncing breasts, not in a sexual way but more of a dominating way. There is little or no point to the story once the blood bath is on.Personally the mutants, or Meat Ball Machines were far less creative than the original. There is no lack of fake blood spewing in geysers. There is plenty of death and mayhem. The mutants just stealing random body parts and attaching them was kind of cute. The casual killing of a few children will stun most American audiences. A few other story elements may catch Westeners off guard as well, like the casual attempt at abducting the leading lady for rape or worse. All in all it was a decent mindless blood soaked romp. The ending comically trivializing any of the drama that took place was just icing on the cake.

More goofy Japanese Splatter house
Much better film quality than the other "meatball machine" on here. Twice the amount of goofy gore.Again like Peter Jackson's "Bad Taste" meets a Gwar concert. Are the 2 meatball films connected? I got no clue. This seems like it could be a sequel or spin off.

Hilarous!
A cross between a Godzilla movie and a fighting movie with hilarious costumes and gallons of spraying blood. And a topless woman which I have never seen in a Japanese film. Not that there was much to see. LOLI am sure I missed a lot because I do not know the culture but still a fun watch. So bad it is good!

Tongue in cheek sequel to the first MM movie
For a print-as-you-go blu ray, the sound and picture quality are great ! The disc label looked good, too, but the printed insert was out of alignment so it looked cheap. As for the movie, if you're looking for a serious sequel to the first Meatball Machine movie, this ain't it. Has absolutely nothing to do with the original Meatball Machine. Same premise of parasites taking over humans to fight each other but that's where the similarities stop. It looks more like, what it Trauma Productions did a reboot.Lots of over the top gore and action with fun, ridiculous site gags (Cue the machine gun stripper!).

Oh man.
If you've seen the original Meatball Machine, you know what to expect. Necroborgs on violent killing sprees, blowing the crap out of everything and everybody. This one is no different, though some of the cinematography and storyline are even more outlandish than the first movie. Entirely entertaining, if you are into bloody ichor and explosive gore, that is.

blood and guts is a genre in Japan- who knew?
Delightfully weird, if all the blood-spewing gets to be a bit the same after awhile. The artificial-ness of the costumes keeps it from getting too real, so when you see the copulating couple cut in half, then their bottom halves continue to "go at it' while spraying blood everywhere, you actually laugh.
