Not only is this adorable, it sharpens very well. Sometimes a pencil sharpener doesn't work very well but this one does.

I have this sharpener in my high school English classroom, so it’s used extensively throughout the day. It is THE BEST pencil sharpener I’ve ever had (20+ years of teaching). In fact, I have some students come to my room to use it instead of the one in their current classroom. I suppose some teachers might not like that outcome! Students tend to break my sharpeners because they’re not careful, but this one has lasted. It has an auto stop when the pencil is sharp, and it gets super sharp very quickly. It works well with colored pencils, which surprised me because the sharpener is small-ish. Students have mixed emotions about stabbing a panda in the eye with a pencil, but I think it’s hilarious.

Listen, any teacher knows that pencil sharpeners usually do not last long. I have been teaching for 13 years and let me tell you, this I would buy this again in a heartbeat. First, it is adorable and I love the auto stop feature once it's finished sharpening (which has 2 sharpening options, one for blunt tip and one for sharp tip). It sharpens so quick! Second, it is durable and lasts! I have had this sharpener through one full year of 2nd graders and one full year of 3rd graders, and is still works just as good as it did on day one! It has suction cups on the bottom to help keep it in place. It's very light weight. The only downside (and it's a minor one) is that it needs to be emptied sooner than your average sharpener because of the smaller compartment inside.
