Ginger Snaps 1-snap Silvertone Lanyard

Bought this product as a replacement for one lost after about 3 years. I obviously love the clasp design, but wish it came with a solid clasp chain. I never used the chain with my first purchase because the magnet was not strong enough. And it was impossible to use when badging in or using my office key, even though the length is fine. This time I’m going to try using a clasp from another necklace to hold the ends together, so I don’t have to search for a replacement chain. Beautiful piece overall, but would be nice to have a better design for chain.

This lanyard is very nice. The break away (safety) magnet is quite strong and the chain is gorgeous, polished, is smooth and seems snag-free which is important for me since I have curly hair. Each piece seems well made and sturdy. Great detail on the front face of the pendant but lacks any design on the back face. (See photos.) The interchangable snap is snug and feels like it should stay in place since it takes a bit of effort to remove it. Overall, it wears and appears like jewelry and is quite pleasingly versatile. So far, I love it!July 16, 2016:I use this lanyard everyday and still love it! The chain and pendant are still beautiful (no tarnish, discoloration or rust). The snap on piece (bought separately) stays on even when dropped... inadvertently. Also the crystals are also all intact despite some light knocking around. The magnetic clasp is still sturdy and I appreciate the safety release which prevented injury to my neck when I got it snagged on a drawer knob. I love this lanyard! I work in a school and I change the snaps in it daily. The children love seeing what I am wearing. Overtime it starts to loss its silver shine. But I had mine for over 5 years and this is the first time I had to replace it. Lasted through being used outside too! Worth the price. You can order different snap jewelry online anywhere at great prices.

Love this Lanyard!!! I tried to buy it at a local shop, but I had recommended it to a customer and she bought them out; so by the time I went to get one the shop was out. I looked them up on line and found them on Amazon. I wear a badge every day and it looks tacky pinned to my vest. Now I wear the Lanyard and I can change the snap to what ever I feel like that day. You can dress it up or dress it down, depending on your mood. What a cool piece of functional jewelry. I even have a watch I can snap in the middle if I want to. How cool is that?

Its a nice lanyard for those of us who have to wear an ID badge at work, The magnet is strong, and I love the customization aspect of the snaps The only problem I have is getting caught on my keyboard tray and the magnet letting lose. I am short, and this is a little long on me, so that may be my problem. All in all, I really like it!

The part where you put the snap is great. The clasp is magnetic. Not a good choice. Fell off at the least little tug. Finally one of the magnets fell out of the part that was holding it. Mine is now held together by a paper clip. The benefit of the paper clip is that is makes the lanyard just a little longer. It was about 1/2 to 1" short for me. this made it catch on my desk all the time. Now it hardly ever does. The clasp needs to be changed to something non-magnetic.

I really like this product. There are many different ginger snaps for purchase. You can select them to complement any color in your wardrobe. The negative of this product would be that this is my third one. The first two I owned (which were purchased from other merchants) both broke in the same manner. Each time the round clasp on the center medallion snapped which is a problem and was very disappointing. I believe it may be a flaw of the design. The lanyard chain is sturdy and looks great. I received my order promptly from this merchant.

The ginger snap finding is pretty but the chain is tacky and the unsoldered jump ring won't stand up to the task. Seriously. For something as important as an ID badge (and I keep my keys on mine) you need that jump ring to be soldered. I finally had to do some re-engineering on mine to make the thing secure. Goodbye pretty lobster claw clasp. Good thing I have jewelry tools and findings, and lots of spare clips, split rings and patience.The tacky chain is way too long for any female torso, and there is no way to adjust it.
