A incredible option for the money, fantastic sound.
Edit: If you would like to connect all your components directly then this system is not for you, just get a receiver that meets your needs and then build from there.Very easy set-up, the manual had easy instructions. The speakers sound amazing, the bass was a bit too loud when I first plugged it in, but after I used the auto-configuration with the supplied microphone it was corrected. I had no issues with setting up S-Air rear speakers, when I first set them up, my WiFi router was interfering giving me some "pops", but after I changed the channel on the WiFi it went away. The system was also very easy to program into my Harmony One.The DVD/CD player is amazing, five disk holder is very convenient. The best part is watching a movie in Blu Ray, the quality of the sound really shines here. I have a PS3 so that is why I opted out of the more expensive Sony BDVE500W 5.1-Channel High-Definition Blu-ray and DVD Disc Home Theater System (Black)  , but if you do not have a bluRay I suggest checking out the linked product, it is virtually the same system with a bluray play integrated, at the moment it is $200 more.Important NOTE: I noticed some confusion about connecting peripherals and a HDTV to this system, I would like to explain how I achieved this buying only one extra cable (two if you intend to use the built-in DVD player). If you have an HDTV and all of your components are already hooked up, it is very simple, use one optical audio cable out from your TV to the receiver and then configure your TV to support 5.1 surround sound, usually in the audio menu. There is no need to run additional optical audio cables from your PS3 or cable box etc, if you are using HDMI to your TV, there is no difference in sound quality. If you are using the intergraded DVD player then you have run a HDMI cable from the receiver to your TV.Again, there is no noticeable difference between HDMI and optical audio, in fact technically HDMI provides better sound. So it only necessary to use one optical cable from the TV to the receiver.

If you have never had a surround system before then you will be more than pleased with this product. It looks sleek, It sounds incredible, its easy to assemble, its easy to operate, its worth your money. I recommend getting a cheap set of optical cables here on amazon as well to optimize your experience. I love the feature "night mode" on it, it basically turns off the majority of the bass but still gives you that "surround" sound without being earth pounding loud. The 5 disk changer is a nice complement to go along with it, I did not think that I would use it but I use it all the time for random seasons of various shows. You can just leave the different disks in the changer and turn them on whenever you want without having to take one out put one in all the time. If you have a Sony Bravia T.V., then this thing works like a charm. You can put a dvd in the changer and have your tv and your sound system completely turned off then push the "One touch play" button, and your tv turns on and the sound system turns on and it starts playing the dvd automatically with the simple press of one button. The sound doesn't get loud enough to set off any car alarms or anything but it gets more than loud enough. This set really shines when using it to watch blu-ray's when hooked up through an optical cable. Well if you don't feel like going to the movies then bring the movies to you, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Buyers should be aware that this is DVD system, not a home theater system
This system has some good features... it sounds great, it looks good with the piano black finish... its easy to use and to install, plus the wireless speakers are great but here's what I think of the little details that makes this thing deserve a 3 star review:1.- Its not completely wireless: The front and center speakers hook up to the back of the receiver and then you have a small WIRELESS amplification module (called SAIR by sony) that syncs with the receiver and you hook up your TWO SURROUND SAT SPEAKERS to that module.2.- I HATE that sony gives you a specific length speaker wire to use... what if I need more wire? Sony uses these colored plugs that hook to the amp... so you will end up splicing sony's original cable in order to hook everything up3.- THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST ANNOYING. It is a 5 dvd changer which is ok if we lived in 1998... I bought a bluray player and sony decided to add ONE INPUT (just audio, no video) to the theater... what if you had a PS3, xbox360? you would only be limited by that input which sucks a lot!.4.- Finally, the remote used for this... I bought this for my dad, he is 60 years old and If I gave him this remote his head would explode. Thank God I also bought a Harmony one remote... Sony could have decided to do a better job designing this theater.
