Very pretty and it's a good price!
I have to say this is the prettiest recipe organizer I have ever seen and at $13.57, which is a dollar more than the Martha Stewart's 3-ring folder, it is a great buy! I bought transparent sheet protectors for the recipes so that any stains and splashes onto them could be easily wiped off.PROS- Has detailed information with regards to measurements and temperature conversions in the inner cover for easy reference.- Has 8 tabs: Appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, side dishes, desserts, drinks and miscellaneous. The tab page has pockets to store the recipe cards.- If you like to jot down recipes, there's quite a generous number of pages provided to do so. Shopping list too- you could just photocopy them for more.- Has the signature Cath Kidston design which is very cheery and easily identified on any shelve.CONS- You have to use both hands to snap open the ring binder, unlike many of the ring binder files out there (such as Martha Stewart's) where it's a soft snap open with just your thumb.- You'll need to get your own transparent sheet protectors. (I got them from Staples for a good price)- It's paper covered, so handle with some care! I'm sure it's water resistant but you'll want to keep it in it's pristine condition. ;)I'm really happy to have my recipes nicely organized and I'm very sure this would make a great gift for brides to be, mums and sisters! (Perhaps coupled with an apron from Anthropologie. :))

I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!
What a great find!!!!! When I first find this on amazon, I didn't want to spend this much but this is more than a regular binder!!!!! I actually didn't place an order right away, instead, I went to Target and found a cute binder just like this. But there were no inserts, so I had to buy tabs, note pads, etc. I figured by the time I have all the things I want, it will be close to the same price and it wouldn't be as pretty as this one, so came home quickly and placed an order.Inside the cover page, there are very convenient charts pre-printed, Dry Measure, Wet Measure, Substitutions and Bar Measurements. Inside the back cover, there are lists for Yields, Oven Temperature Conversions and Suggested Doneness Temperature. Came with 8 Tabs of Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Main Courses, Side Dishes, Desserts, Drinks and Misc. Also there are 48 pages of note pads that you can write your own recipe and 10 pages of shopping list (can separate 1 page to 4 lists, so there are total of 40 lists).I've cooked a little bit before but starting to collect recipes for the first time. This binder has everything I ask for. My friend suggested to buy a "recipe box" that to hold 3X5" cards, but I wanted to see the step-by-step instruction and do print out off of internet a lot. This binder holds all that. This could be a great wedding or birthday gift also.

Great Recipe Organizer
This is a great recipe book. I was looking for an organizer that would hold standard printer-sized pages as I was planning on printing out recipes which I had already typed. The paper that came with the organizer was lined, which, as another reviewer mentioned, makes it somewhat more difficult to print on. On each page is a two-sided design. On the first side, there is space for 2 small, half-page recipes. On the second side, there is space for 1 long, full-page recipe. After about 30 minutes experimenting on Microsoft Publisher, I was able to create two templates (one for each side) that print pefectly. I measured out where to place the text boxes, and how big they should be for each section (recipe title, from, ingredients and method...I left "notes" blank so I could handwrite these in later). The trickiest area to get right is "Methods". I used Californian font in size 14 for the "method" area, and set my line spacing within that box at 1.13 sp. As the "ingredients" section is not lined, it was very easy to put in a text box, and any font/font size can easily be chosen. I hope these little tips help. I wish there was a way I could just upload my templates to the site for anyone who wanted to use them, but haven't seen a way of doing that as of yet.

Very pleased
Bought this recipe organizer as a gift for my daughter who is enrolled in a culinary arts program. She loves the organizer (and the class). She's already adding new recipes and chapters of her own. She loves it.As for the review posted by someone else giving 2 stars - hoped to print out my recipes onto the pages provided, but they have to be hand written to fit the format - I have a few thoughts...Perhaps using MS Word doc, open a blank word doc. Set your margins as minimally as possible. Then go to tool bar, select Table/Insert table. Make a table with 2 columns and 2 rows, click ok. Now adjust the columns to fit just as the four sections found on the recipe organizer page. Remember the height & width for a regular portrait style document is 8 1/2 x 11, so sections should be just smaller than 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Save it as a template and copy/paste your recipes into the sections as needed. Then use the organizer page to print out a hard copy. Remember to make the column borders invisible so they don't print out. You might want to print out an empty template and hold it up to the recipe page first to check if the sections are positioned appropriately. Or maybe MS Publisher would be easier. Just a thought. Best of luck and happy cooking!

Really pretty, ODD SIZE
This recipe organiser would be utterly perfect if it weren't for the size. It is a little too small to fit A4 paper in! Any recipes printed from a computer or cut from magazines have to be cut to size to fit into the folder. Has very handy conversion tables for weights and measures and an excellent substitution guide for commonly required ingredients for those moments when you discover you haven't QUITE got everything you needed. One other point of interest, I have yet to find a supplier of refill pages for when you have copied recipes into the pages provided.

Lovely.
This is lovely much nicer when you get it home than what it looks like on the internet. I bought it for my sister in law and was very tempted to keep it!! I will have to see about treating myself to one as it really is nice. Have already been looking at other things in the range to buy for presents, will deffinately be ordering things for christmas.

Great gift!
I chose this rating as it had fast delivery and is worth the money! This is a perfect little gift for anyone that loves being in the kitchen! I bought this for myself and then bought another for a friend. Due to being interested in cooking , I have many slips of paper with recipes on from magazines. This organiser has different sections for different courses and has paper to write in the recipe or folders to place in the slips of paper!

Perfect gift
This is a very pretty item and is perfect for keeping all those recipes torn out or copied from books and magazines. Stores them neatly on my cook-book shelf. It is very versatile and I love it.

This was bought as a Christmas gift and was accepted with delight. It is an easy to use recipe organiser and just what every 'cook' needs.
