Hefty, sharp point

These Mayhew punches are perfect for the metal worker that wants to buy USA made tools. These are quality steel and so far I love them. I have several.

I bought two different punches. This one tapers to round, while the other tapers to six sides. For my purpose the taper to round worked better.

I work with a lot of hard steels. Everything from 1/2'' 347 stainless steel to 6'' 41xx series chromoly steel. This punch gets used daily and I have to say I am very impressed. I beat the brakes off this thing and it still remains to hold up. My old punch I would sharpen once a week and re-harden but this one I have not had to sharpen yet and I have owned it for 6 months. Great buy.
