Do Not Disturb

This is the ultimate coffee table book for people who appreciate the beauty of the male torso! These are some of the most "Beautiful" looking men in the world. They look so innocent and playful yet at the same time they have a very masculine look and allure. You can tell the photographer really appreciates the male body, especially the upper torso. The superb lighting and shadowing and crisp digital color show off all of these guys to their best advantage. These are handsome, attractive guys at the prime of their lives, who are now immortalized forever because of Adam's talent and artistry in capturing these simply stunning images. It's obvious the highest quality was insisted upon by the photographer in the production of this oversized volume from the quality of the paper, to the strong binding of the book, and the beautiful layout and design from the front cover to the back cover. This is a welcome relief from the way many other male photography books are now being published, where the books are lower in quality and extremely pricey for sometimes less than 100 pages. This volume is large at 240 pages and reasonably priced. Its pure class, you will not be disappointed! Although this work contains no full frontal nudity, these models will appeal to anyone's taste. Just check out my favorite blond on the last few pages of this collection and you will see what I mean. The faces and the bodies are enough to heat up anyone's imagination, and bring joy to the viewer of these sensual shots. There are many male photography books out on the market today, but this one I highly recommend and one that I really enjoyed!

A beautifully photographed volume, but due to the complete lack of nudity, it really does look like an overpriced catalog for young men's underwear and jeans. I hope that some day soon Mr. Raphael will publish a volume that celebrates the whole body. I appreciate his tastefulness, but after awhile, the element of teasing in both DO NOT DISTURB and ROOM SERVICE gets a bit old.

I have all or Raphael's books, and it has been wonderful to watch him grow as an artist. Each book, from Friends, to his latest, Do Not Disturb, shows an increasing mastery of composition and lighting. The images in the book fairly glow on the page, and his choice of models is, as always, impeccable. Indeed, they are some of the most beautiful young men in the world, and Raphael treats them with the reverence they deserve. One can never go wrong with Raphael. His photography is erotic but tasteful, his motifs fully realized, and his world of beauty always inviting.

Adam Raphael is one of the most highly respected artist photographers of the male models before the public today. What makes his work so different form the usual monograph of beautiful men is that he maintains a sense of respect for his extraordinarily well-sculpted and handsome men. While unafraid to capture the men with apparel he doesn't seem to consider that everything must be shown in order to capture the sensuality of the models. No full frontal nudity here, but the models he does elect to photograph without clothing carry a discreet towel or place the body in such a way that the overall physique is more important than an exposed phallus. It works because of the lavish attention to detail of lighting, color and poses Raphael selects, but it also works because of that age-old theory that less is more. Raphael leaves room for imagination and with the men he elects to use as models the imagination is completely satisfied! These men of DO NOT DISTURB are in their world of privacy. There is no sense of staged effects here (although the compositions appear like finished perfect canvases), but rather what comes across is a communication between the model and the artist, a collaboration as if the model is saying 'this part of me is my best aspect' and in sharing that he invites Raphael to bring focus to muscle structure, personality, attitude, all with a sense of respectful privacy. How Adam Raphael allows these Adonis models to be sensual is understatement - of pose, of lighting, of color, of positioning of garments. The cover of the book says a lot about the content: a perfectly developed young man shares his abs - and the lets the imagination continue... Health, vigor, youth, vitality, individual showmanship - all of these aspects result in a book filled with exquisite photographs. It just so happens that with Adam Raphael's talent he can be more sensuous than most simply by holding back. This is a coffee table book that will appeal equally to women and men - and at the same time will definitely please the audience whose attention to the male physique is highly polished. I love owning and looking at books with nice picture of men and their sexy bodies. This book is a very nice big size and value for money. However, I still can not see why the artist (Adam Raphael) gave the book the title "Do not disturb". It must see an artist thing I suppose. None the less, the book is really very good and satisfy's me well.
