Outside Diameter:0.074 Inches  |  Item Length String:12 Inches  |  Number of Items:1 The C2 tungsten carbide round rod has been ground to achieve the precise shape and size, meets American Society for Testing and Materials International ASTM B777-07 specifications, and has a precision tolerance. The C2 tungsten carbide grade provides high wear resistance, and good corrosion and heat resistance.Tungsten carbide, also known as carbide, is an extremely hard alloy made from tungsten and carbon that offers high wear resistance as well as good corrosion resistance.Tensile strength, used to indicate the material's overall strength, is the peak stress it can withstand before it breaks. Corrosion resistance describes the material's ability to prevent deterioration caused by atmosphere, moisture, or other medium. Wear resistance indicates the ability to prevent surface damage caused by contact with other surfaces. Hardness (commonly measured as indentation hardness) describes its resistance to permanent surface deformation.

Well shoot.
This is exactly what was advertised but it is smaller than I expected. It's clearly stated that it is .1175" in diameter so it's my fault. I got it to burnish the edges on my card scraper and while it may work eventually I am unable to do it correctly at the moment.

as an FYI; the product states an outside diameter ...
as an FYI; the product states an outside diameter of +/-0.0001 inches... it is not even close to that. There is a clear seam going down one side, actual outside diameter varies by +/- 0.0015 (yes, only 2 zeros not three) as measured with a micrometer. It was advertised as a precision part, its not that.
