Walnut bunk bed
Nice bunk bed, we got full xl over queen. Arrived in 2 heavy packages. Good packaging, rather simple to assemble with alphabet labeling for parts. Bed is sturdy once put together. Only thing i can complain about is the slats are not completely smoothly shaved, have some splinters to watch out for. Overall, good value. Get yourself a powered screw driver, it will save a lot of time with assembly.

Great kids bunk bed not as sturdy as I would like, but it will get a job done perfectly fine

Cheap for a reason
I’m not really sure why this had good reviews. I guess I expected it to be poor-ish quality because of the cheap price…. There are lots of imperfections that I will need to touch up. The wood is thin and flimsy. The bigger problem is that assembly is a nightmare. I’m on step 7 and the “E” screws absolutely will not go into the wood. I’ve tried a few different ways and nothing works. My hands are on fire and developing blisters and I’m not even going to be successful. I had to remove another star because I finally got some of the screws to go in, but they only go in a little bit before they just start spinning. There’s no way they’re going to hold the wood together tightly. I’m hopeful that I can find some screws at the hardware store that will allow me to complete the project because as it stands, it’s a lost cause.

Great quality for the price!
This bunkbed is incredibly well made and sturdy! You do need a 6 inch mattress for the top bunk. But the bottom we used a normal queen mattress that is probably 12 inches? My husband put together in around 2 hours. Really great!!!

sub par quality for value and has areas of concern.
Several issues that I came across with assembling this bed. (queen over queen). First off, the trip uses the (E) screws and have pre-drilled pilot holes. Those holes are not big enough, nor deep enough. 4x the screws cracked the wood and split it open on various parts. (2x on trim and both left top and bottom of the ladder). Following that, each corner is supposed to have a hole for a metal rod to join the beds together. One of them didn't have the pre-drilled hole. The trim also seemed like the alignment was off for a few of the pieces, and one of them looked like it was attempted to be cut, but the piece was left inside where a bolt would go and I had to chisel it out. The bed doesn't seem as sturdy as I'd hope however it's enough for us to settle for still. The ladder doesn't really have any incline to it either so beware of that Overall my recommendation: if you are innovative, or good with woodworking then it's worth purchasing. But at $400 I was hoping it would be a bit more in the quality department, so value for it to me personally is low with what I got. Last but not least - unrelated to quality of the wood or build in total but where the ladder connects and the kids will climb into bed it could have a better last step area. I wanted to give only 2 stars, however the bed put together in its entirety is nice and my kids love it, so I'll give it the 3.

Beautiful bed.
Gorgeous and sturdy. My girls love it and so do I. I put it together by myself :) so one person can do it with some motivation!

Very unstable
Looks nice but very unstable. Moves to much. Would love to return it but got rid of the boxes as we assembled it.

THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE BUYING AND PAYING FOR THIS ITEM
Love the idea of this bed but definitely something’s to consider before purchasing. 1- the top bunk is a full XL which I cannot find anywhere besides one that is way overpriced and cost more then the frame itself. 2-the slats are very cheap “wood” and some came already bowed in which make them bend more. 3-all slats DO NOT match in size which make it harder to drill in and fit correctly. 4-the railings on the side are very cheap/flimsy. 5-the top bunk says weight limit 350 but I doubt it will hold that weight because I weigh 180 and when I got on top it feels like it just going to break and not strong enough to hold me, also the slats were very flimsy. Good for my 5 year old but let’s see for how long. Wish me luck finding a full XL memory foam mattress as well because I’ve looked everywhere and still no luck. Lots of other beds I should have looked at for $460 I payed for this
