Original Better Than Bouillon Ham Base is made with ham. This gives it a richer, more robust flavor than ordinary bouillons or soup stocks. Better Than Bouillon blendable bases easily spoon right out of the jar and let you add as much, or as little, flavor as desired. Use for soups, sauces and casseroles or to cook vegetables, rice or pasta with more flavor. Basic Stock Directions: Dissolve 1 teaspoon (equal to 1 bouillon cube) Ham Base in 8 oz. boiling water. For each quart of stock needed, use 1-1/2 tablespoons Ham Base. Use basic stock for soups, sauces, and gravies, or to cook vegetables, rice, or pasta with more flavor. Only 1 tsp. Better Than Bouillon = one cube or one 8 oz. can Broth. Refrigerate After Opening. There’s nothing better than big flavors and cooked-all-day taste in your favorite meals. I love all of the Better than Boullion products....Beef, Chicken and Ham. Use them for making soups and stews, as the flavoring is very natural - neither bland or overpowering. Just a couple of tablespoons is needed in my soup pot. Depending on the amount of soup/stew I am making I usually start with 2 TBLS, but sometimes a taste-test requires a tad more.
