The best earbuds under $100
Summary: Probably the best earbuds within a $50 price range. Buy them. Normally I try to wait to review things until I've used them for a while. These are so good they get a special exception. An 11/10 product. Just buy them already. If you're reading this then you're already looking for wireless earbuds, and you can't do much better than these. Instead of rambling, I'll just say these $50 earbuds deliver better audio quality than my $300 Bose headphones. No, I not joking. I wish I was joking. The noise canceling is even comparable. (Although this needs more testing.) I'm disappointed only because my Bose headphones are well past their return window and listing them on Ebay is a lot of work. The CMF Nothing app is massively better than Bose's app, and that's a huge plus, since I kinda hate the Bose app, and I generally dislike installing single purpose apps. I've genuinely hated every pair of wireless earbuds I've ever owned, including several "good" earbuds from various "reputable" manufacturers. They all suck. Overpriced for worse audio quality, and no outstanding features except needing to be replaced every 3 years due to battery degradation. The CMF Buds are the first product to change my mind. Finally, a reasonably priced pair of earbuds with decent audio quality, actually useful software features, and a comfortable fit. Plus bonus noise canceling. The software experience was what bumped these from a 10/10 to an 11/10. The least painless software experience I've had with any product in the last 3 years, which is a thing I never thought I'd say about earbuds. Not to praise these too much. I knew the Bose headphones weren't amazing, but I bought them as a travel pair of headphones because my daily driver Meze 99 Classics don't travel, especially not on an airplane where I want noise cancelation. The main downsides of the CMF Buds 2 Plus are mediocre performance on classical music, with some loss of clarity on songs with heavy bass, and a general feeling of listening to a recording. High quality audiophile equipment makes you feel like you're listening in person, while the CMFs definitely don't. Mind you, it's a very nice recording, but I can tell the playback is missing some oomph and dynamic range. That's just a limitation of physics. Deeper sounds need a bigger driver. The CMF Buds 2 are doing a lot of work to compensate, but it does sacrifice some quality to get there. My personal preference for EQ is flat, and the CMFs are biased towards way too much bass. I set a custom flat EQ with -1 on the bass, and that brought the worst performing songs on my stress test playlist up to an acceptable level. If you're into too much bass, you'll love these things. While these aren't great for my love of classical music, they do sound dang good for generic pop, and I'll probably be listening to more music with how nice these sound. The other main reason I bought these was to use while sleeping, where I prefer deeper sounds like heavy rain, so I think these will be perfect with the heavy bass.

Great earbuds for the price!
I bought these for my girlfriend and am wildly impressed by the quality of these CMF 2 Plus earbuds, especially for the price. The sound quality straight out of the box is very clear and balanced, but you can download the accompanying CMF app and tweak the EQ settings as you please. I especially love the bass boost! The mic quality is also pretty great, considering the price. I can hear her very well when she wears them during calls and the adaptive noise canceling is fantastic. I can't barely hear outside noises like loud trucks and motorbikes. I plan on buying a pair for myself to use as my backup pair in my gym bag. I am very impressed with these earbuds!

Good audio, battery and user experience
Very high quality for the price, the app is very nice to use. They paired to my phone instantly out of the box. Sound quality is also quite good, but leans on the heavy bass side. I fixed this with the app's EQ. Battery life was phenomenal. Went over 2 weeks without having to charge the case. Noise cancelling is also great. The case is a little bulky for fitting in your pockets but its not a huge issue. The main issue with these buds is after a few hours they get pretty uncomfortable on my ears. Sweat also makes them fall off quite easily. Also would've been nice to have mono audio when using one bud at a time. For some people this shape of buds stays on more securely than others, so if you're one of those people I definitely recommend these.

Big Bang for the Buck
When a mesh protective screen popped off one of my Tozo Golden X1 earbuds recently -- and while I'm waiting for the replacement pair to arrive from Tozo under warranty -- I decided to get a new backup ANC earbud pair and wanted to try a product from a different company. My two primary criteria for purchase were: price under $100; and great sound and good ANC. I came upon these CMF Buds 2 Plus and liked the looks, color, and specs, including a 12 mm driver. Yes, I have found that buds with drivers 10 mm or larger seem to have better bass. I've only had these buds for a day now, but I can tell you what I like about them: * Superb sound quality on all types of music. * Good though not state-of-the-art ANC. * Spatial audio option. * Hearing test fine-tuning. * Bud tip fitting test. * Fine connectivity. * Pairing with two devices simultaneously. * These stay in my ears without constant readjustment. All this for $60 (Black Friday special) is quite impressive! (The Golden X1's sell for $100, and the Buds 2 Plus may sound even better, thanks to the spatial audio option.) These Buds 2 Plus connected easily to my Windows 10 laptop and Android 13 phone. I had a little more trouble connecting to the Nothing app until I realized you HAVE to enable location access. Done! The spatial audio option is a welcome feature. I listened to a Pink track with and without the spatial audio engaged and came to prefer keeping it on, as it seems to open up the sound stage and separate each voice and instrument better. So what's the down side here? The limited controls. The problem is that only the left bud has a touch-sensitive control. So that restriction immediately halves the number of controls at your command. The best control setup I could arrange using the Nothing app allows: pause/play; skip track forward (but not back); ANC on/off/pass-through; volume up (but not down). Not as many options as the more expensive Golden X1's, which have controls on both buds. I also wish these buds had a better battery charge indicator on the case. There's a single LED that usually glows white; I have yet to see if it will glow red when you need a charge. Otherwise, you have to use the Nothing app (or your phone or computer's Bluetooth devices page) to check the charge level. Aside from these drawbacks, however, the B2P's deliver in spades on everything else, including one feature the GX1's lack: automatic pause when you take one of the buds from your ear, as when someone engages you in an unexpected conversation. So the truth is, I'm currently in no hurry to receive the replacement pair of Golden X1's I'm expecting and may default to the B2P's as my new best buds. I'll report back if I should change my mind after more use... UPDATE: I would definitely recommend taking the hearing test the app gives you to fine tune the buds' best sound for you. I would also follow the manufacturer's instruction to press the "silence" button any time you can just barely hear a test tone. You'll get a smoother EQ with less harsh midrange and high end...

Wonderful earbuds with unfortunately too many issues
Edit: So the ANC has been turning off and on when outside and for some reason my audio straight up stopped working until I put them back into the case and removed them. Knocking a star off for these issues. Will be receiving a replacement (unfortunately taking a week for that). Will update once again when I get them. Edit 5/30/2025: So I got a replacement and had the same issues. ANC stops randomly, music stops if they slip just slightly off my ears on a warm day and touch controls can be finicky. Sometimes when using one earbud the other won't reconnect properly. I learned I can just go to my bluetooth settings and reconnect them instead of putting them into the case and removing them but this is something I shouldn't need to do. The earbuds slipping out is likely due to a bad seal and the included tips don't provide much of one. I tried 3rd party tips but the nozzle on these is very wide and the usual 3rd party tips I use do not fit without tearing. I really wanted to like these but they have too many issues, which seem to be hardware and software. I don't appreciate being a beta tester. They're wonderful outside of these issues but these are things I cannot overlook. Pros: - some of the best battery life in the tws market - audio is GREAT. The personal sound profile is a MUST. It really elevates the audio to another level. Spatial sound really opens up the soundstage and improves the audio quality as well. I'm currently using these with the EQ set to custom and everything untouched at 0. The personal profile IS my EQ. - ANC works very very well. It cancels out the majority of noise around me and isn't making my ears feel a ton of pressure. Cons: - proprietary ear tips, making shopping for 3rd party tips a hassle - constant connection issues when using one earbud and then trying to use the other - no single tap touch controls -wind noise cancelling is permanently on, so at the slightest breeze ANC or transparency mode turn off. Very annoying - the case has a little fidget disc that on their other earbuds, actually functions as a volume knob. Disappointing it's on the case for these but does nothing - case gripe again, it's a square. A rectangular shape would be better - without the audio enhancements turned on (spatial sound mainly) audio sounds pretty meh - slight gripe but COLOURS. Only blue and white available here on Amazon? I went with blue because I do not want them mistaken for airpods. Manufacturers need to not be afraid of colour variety on their products - case is a fingerprint and hand oil magnet

Insane Value For Price
First off, if you're not an audiophile and are thinking of buying this, absolutely do. This is the best sound quality earbuds under $100 probably ever, way better than my Airpods 3. I 'downgraded' from Galaxy Buds Pro2 to these and there are only minor differences. So the fact that these $70 pair of earbuds can stand up to a nearly $300 pair of earbuds is impressive to say the least. First off, sound quality is impressive, close to something like Airpods Pro level. Clear vocals with very nice bass response (almost too nice). Instrument and vocal separation is good with a relatively filled out sound stage. The only thing I will say is that something in the higher range is just a little off, giving some guitar sounds or orchestral music a bit of a harsh, biting quality in some tracks. Not to big a deal if you don't care about it, though, and it no doubt can be ameliorated by the app's EQ. Note that this is all with regular AAC plus Dolby Sound (on a Galaxy S21), so if you have a device that supports LDAC, the experience only gets better. Also on the plus side of things, I have to mentiong the battery life, which is stellar. However, everything else is only ok. The case doesn't feel cheap (thank goodness) but it doesn't exactly feel premium either. the wheel on the side of the case is purely non-functional (although it can act as a lanyard attachment point: a downgrade from the CMF Buds 2 Pro). As to the earbuds, they definitely look and feel a little cheap, and the touch controls suck. The noise cancelling is only fine, and the function that pauses the music when you take it out of your ears only works if you're not sweating. So overall, if you're looking for a great audio for cheap, buy this. But if you're looking for a premium experience in every respect, you're going to have to bite the bullet and pay the eighty to ninety dollars extra for Airpods or Bose. I hope this helps.

The best of the best!
I was looking to replace my Boltune BT-BH023 which were a favorite of mine out of the box. Beautiful sound, deep enveloping bass, quality highs with satisfying warm mid-range. Everything you could want from earbuds with great active noise canceling. Over the years the battery got to the point where I could not use them for very many hours before having to put them back in the charge case. That's when my search began for a quality comparable replacement. The first purchase was the SoundCore P20i. Listed with a 10 mm driver and big bass, I still found the bass to be punchy and flat. Though it does have app support, I still found that the presets did not provide the quality that I was hoping for even though there were 65k reviews with a 4.4 star rating.... Returned. Next up with high hopes was the JBL vibe beam. 24k reviews listed as having deep bass and also having an app that allowed you to establish your own custom EQ settings....Returned These were a marked improvement over the SoundCore but I still was not able to get the overall enveloping feel that I had from the Bultones. My testing involved using both earbud sets simultaneously, alternating between while listening to the same track and making adjustments to the EQ apps as needed in hopes to then replicate the sound of the Bultones... Next up was the CMF buds 2 plus 2025. These earbuds were listed as having active noise canceling and a 12 mm driver for deep bass. My hopes were high and I was not disappointed! Out of the box these earbuds wanted to make me cry tears of joy! The sound was amazing. It was full. It was level. It was robust. The cmf earbuds also have an app. I wouldn't have ever needed the app as I was overjoyed by the sound right out of the case, but I downloaded it because they had one. The app options are incredible and immense! There are obviously EQ presets and there is the ability to make custom EQ profiles. But the most amazing thing is the ear test which I recommend doing in a completely quiet, non -noisy room as it will actually give you a hearing test and adjust the earbuds individually left and right to your personal hearing levels. It also has an ability to do a test to tell you whether or not you are using the correct ear cushions. After running the test, I made a change based off of the results advising me that I might need to increase the size of the cushion I was using only in my right ear. So I went ahead and swapped them both and redid the test and got a green result for both ears. Active noise canceling is amazing. The ability to change the touch functionality is amazing. The thing that I loved most was that even though as I stated out of the box I was already in love, there was a software update to apparently make the bass even better! I cannot say enough about these buds other than I hope they only get better....that there is solid support for them and at the $55 price point they are an absolute buy now, buy now buy now!

Clear sound, bad noise cancelling.
Overview: Simple easy to use headphones. They are fairly light and comfortable in my ears. You can see sizing from the pictures. The corner dial seems out of place to me only because it has no use compared to it's Smart dial counterpart. This is my first experience with CMF, which i bought because I was using a cheaper JBL (Vibe Buds 2) that people complained they could not hear me well in phone calls. After some research I landed on these which supposedly were adequate with noise canceling. NOTE: I did not use the app that adjust the EQ sound Practical: CASE: Case is fine, despite another's review I found this to be one of the easiest cases for cleaning as the divots for the buds are fairly shallow. The Silicone buds can be a bit of a chore to put back on after a cleaning sometimes even frustrating if your patience is low. SOUND: The good news is yes I found that people could hear me very well i didn't not have any instances where there were issues of people saying they could not hear me. The sound was quality and clear and I could hear phone calls, Podcasts, and music very well. There is an option for Noise Canceling, however, it is very limited to atmospheric noise of A/C or light white noise. I tried using these in a coffee shop while studying and I found I could here the Barista's activities and the overhead music. Definitely wouldn't be using these for outdoor work like lawn mowing you would hear well. That was a disappointment. As far as range i could leave phone in my room and go to the kitchen in a ranch home without any issues. WEAR: comfortable to wear do not cause aching after a while. They do sit well, but can still sometimes feel like they fall out, but will not, my preference is for buds to seat a little deeper, but others I don't think there would be any issue. Without the app, you cannot use the buttons on the headphones for answering calls and other touch commands (pause, forward etc.), so don't be like me, get the app. Pros: Clear sound (potential for better if EQ app is used) Others can hear you well Good range Easy to Clean Cons: NOT good Noise cancelling Silicone buds are difficult to put on App not "required" but necessary for daily use.
