Canโt put a price on health and relief!
Iโve been putting off buying this Neck Hammock since my PT recommended it to me. $50 seems steep but let me tell you, itโs comfortable and effective. I was in a minor car accident that caused me major neck pain running down my left arm. I put in the work but I truly felt stagnant with PT no matter the progress I was making in PT didnโt feel like enough but I owe this hammock my healing. Im still in PT for now to make sure nothing erupts again but weโre working on my discharge papers. Im just so relieved i hooked it up to our balcony door and just watch tv on top of a soft blanket.

Four Stars
I've been using it for about two weeks, and, used properly, its almost completely taken away the neck tension and crunching sounds that were very loud and uncomfortable in my neck/base of skull. A couple of thoughts/points of improvement: (1) i did not find that having the neck hammock pulling my head upwards was very comfortable or was helping that much. So i rigged it to a desk leg, sit a comfortable distance away, and wrap the harness around the bas of my skull as best as i can given the awkward angle. This works like a charm. If the design offered some easier way of using this in a fully horizontal fashion i think it would be more effective and this would get 5 stars easily. (2) This acts very similar to a traction machine you see in a chiropractor's office (in my nonprofessional opinion). The downside is that there is no variation in pressure or doctor making sure you aren't over extending. One time I overextended and made my neck muscles a little sore for a day. You need to play with it and ease into using it as detailed above, but on the whole if you are careful and methodical this is a great daily application of gentle traction. (3) i also stretch and ice after using this. I think that helps keep the effects and generally break up neck and shoulder tension. (4) I wish this company would figure out a way to rig up feet harnesses in a device to give you general spinal traction too. It would be a nice addition.

Kind of disappointed
I like this product, however I am very disappointed with the quality of this item. I've had it for 2 weeks and it's already breaking. That's the bad part of it. The good is that the concept is great, I currently have a herniated cervical disk, and have another month before they can get me in for an injection. This device is the only thing that gives me pain relief at the moment. There is definitely merit to the purpose, I just wish the quality was better.

First time reviewer, it's that effective
I never write reviews but I have to about this. I am so grateful, I finally am getting some relief in my neck pain. The first day I used it I laid in it for 15 minutes and that night noticed my shoulder tension (which is a lifelong battle to manage) gone. Completely gone. My mom used to joke that she could bounce quarters off my traps because they were so tight and they actually relaxed. My neck pain that's usually around my C2 to C4? Gone. I used to get put in traction at the chiropractor but I can't afford to go anymore. I am so happy I got this I could cry. My migraines have decreased in frequency, my upper back pain and neck pain is managed by taking some "me" time to lay down, and I can feel it starting to slowly help stretch throughout my spine with repeated use. I love that you adjust the tension by how far away from the door/wall you lay. It's a no brainer to set up, and they didn't short change you on the inner padding. Three huge foam pads hug your head gently. As I said at the beginning of this, I've never written a review before. I had to for this, it's the best choice I've ever made to help manage my neck pain and my migraines. I can't sing this company's praises enough.

Worst Fear Realized - Extremely Dangerous Product!
The very FIRST time I used this, 20 seconds into using it per the instructions, the strap broke, my head smacked the ground, the plastic clip that spaces the two straps apart struck the bridge of my nose, and the straps struck my eyelids all with such force that it dazed me for few seconds. Just from where the straps struck me I continued to ache for the rest of the day. Just before this happened I was thinking, "wow I really hope this thing is well made or its going to snap and hit me in the eyes." Luckily I had JUST closed my eyes while attemping to 'relax' into it, and I am extremely fortunate to have thick carpeted floors or I would have been concussed worse than I was. I have suffered from several concussions and whiplash events in my life and I am extremely vulnerable to them now (hence why I bought this product, looking for head and neck pain relief to begin with!!) I am also extremely lucky it didnt break my nose or take out an eye (my worst fear in life). I don't know how I missed so many 1-star reviews all saying the exact same attachment point failed and this happened to them! This thing is a lawsuit waiting to happen. It's criminally negligent for them to not over-engineer the potential fail points for something with such a high risk assigned to it in the first place, but then with so many reviews all saying this exact same thing, they know about this issue and they continue to still sell it as such, knowing people are being severely hurt by it!

Itโs all about the placement !!!!
If you return this item or do not like it, honestly itโs all because you donโt know what youโre doing with it! This is the best purchase ever and Iโve actually got two of them! The biggest trick is to figure out how the heck to tie it to something! I will give you the best tip ever if you donโt have a giant wrought iron bed like I do then hereโs a good tip. I actually strap mine to one of my exercise bikes and lay on the floor on my yoga mat and just keep pulling my body backwards.! it doesnโt really work as well on door knobs because it just seems too high I think and I donโt really have a door knob besides my front door that would hang onto it. The padding is awesome as long as you have figured out where it needs to go on your head and then you tighten the strap in the middle to help hang onto your head while youโre pulling. I have a different brand that hangs over the door, but hurts my face so badly just like all of them and this is the only one that will not hurt your face! Iโm putting an example for all of you people that donโt have good reviews or have actually returned this. The photo that Iโm attaching is probably not the best equipment because if I put it up higher, the whole thing will come and smash down on my face so it better be something thatโs not going to tip over on your face! I only weigh 115 so the placement of this is really not going to pull down this equipment. I have pets so I donโt like cat hair on anything so I put it back in itโs little bag after Iโm done each time.. . Just remember when you get it on, just keep slowly scooting your body the other direction and I can feel it all the way down my spine this way. If I had a person to be able to pull it, it would be nice as well, but this works perfectly.!!!! I can also have it in a convenient place and I will be taking it to the Physical Therapy I have to go to because another Physical Therapy is the one that suggested this.!!!!! Hope this all helps everyone and I was utterly shocked when I saw returns because Iโve had my other one for over a year and it still works great! Honestly, the manufacturing should give some more examples so this is not a returned item because I donโt know why the heck you would ever return this thing!!!!!

Best Answer Yet = Neck Pain
I have had pinched nerves in my neck for most of my life. Sometimes they hurt more than other times. They cause my neck to be stiff and restrict movement, my posture sucked, I had a girlfriend that called me Buzzard Head (Don't have her anymore) . Since I have been using the Neck Hammock there is less pain I'd say a 50% reduction. There is less movement restriction, probably 25-30%. I stand up straight. Best of all and I can't give it a percentage, I feel better. I don''t know where these folks come off with the comfort factor when they are using it. I find the thing somewhat uncomfortable. I compresses my ears to my head and pulls my crooked neck forward and back with a steady pressure, which is not what I would equate with comfort but bearable. The relief is why I gave this the 5 star rating. When I take it off I feel great. It is the only thing that really worked for my condition. For that the guy is to be commended. It is simple easy to work. Hard to screw up and portable. I use it once a day as directed in the videos . I would recommend the Neck Hammock to anyone with a screwed up neck. PS I also bought the knock off, it works pretty much the same but the results are not as good in my opinion. Go the extra bucks get the original.

Lack of a hammock cradle to hang traction device
Whilst the theory behind the Neck Hammock is sound, it is let down in its practical application by the lack of a metal cradle or stand from which the hammock can be attached and hung. It is acknowledged that the hammock can be hung from a door handle or railing however a practical and suitable location which is without impediments is sometimes difficult to find to effectively hang the hammock from. The availability of a support in the form of a cradle or stand would overcome this problem and make the product far more user friendly and ensure the device could be used from any location. Interestingly, a cheaper knock off or copy of the neck hammock has such a supporting cradle and it is easy to see that it is far more user friendly and practical than the neck hammock which does not have a similar support or cradle available.

Not as durable as expected
Works well. The stretch bands starts giving way after a month of usage. Worried that it may snap eventually hence had stopped using it.

The pads at the temple and nape of neck need to be removed
The pads in the hammock create pressure that is not comfortable if used according to the manufacturers direction
