Closest to enthusiast sounding earbuds for the price
Great sound quality, awesome accessibility, overall very happy. Deep punchy bass, can sort of drown out the normal sound if you put the bass too high in the app, but ive found a good happy medium. They feel amazing in my ears, havent had any issues with them falling out or feeling loose. Comes with some different ear plug sizes, though the normal ones fit everyone ive let use them. Battery life is quite nice, usually can get multiple days of use off one full case charge. One of my favorite things is how quick it connects to my phone and how there isnt a “bluetooth connected” voice, i pull them out of the case, it connects within a second, gives me 2 beeps to know theyre connected and im good to go. Got the black colored ones, probably shouldve got a lighter color given the fact that i lose everything 😂😂😂 They do have a find my earbuds section in the settings page of the app though and it has definitely come in use a few times. If youre thinking about getting these. GET THEM, great sound, build and app quality. I have not regretted the 30 bucks spent one bit.

Budget, punchy bass, noise canceling and long battery life
I have two of the nothing 2's. I'm into punchy base, budget earbuds for the gym that I lose every 4 months you're not going to beat these. The noise canceling is chefs kiss. For life customer now

The Noise Cancelling Won’t Silence the World, But Neither Will the Price
For the price, these are actually really good earbuds. The noise cancelling is decent, but definitely not amazing. It takes the edge off background noise and does a respectable job for everyday use, but the advertised 42dB shouldn’t have you expecting to enter a magical cone of silence. People, traffic, and the general chaos of civilization can still find you. Sound quality is surprisingly good for the price, though. Nice bass, clear enough audio, comfortable to wear, and I actually really like the orange color. If top-tier ANC is your priority, spend considerably more money. If you just want a solid pair of inexpensive wireless earbuds with good sound and useful noise cancelling, these are a great value.

Better than I expected, needs NOTHING app to modify bass
I bought it on Black Friday for $20. I was not expecting much, was getting them for phone calls. Oh boy... these really caught me off-guard, they are actually very good! I have only used them as of this review less than one day, but I have been trying to make them sound as good as the BOSE QC35ii headphones I have (BOSE sound is in another league). Equalizer/Sound:Recommended Equalizer settings on Nothing app: BASS: +6 MID: +1 TREBLE: 0 Ultra Bass: Level 5 For rock, these settings are the best you can probably get (of course they still sound fantastic outside of rock). I tested these for live-streams (gaming/shooting) and voices sounded normal-good (compared to my headphones), normal songs sounded good, instrumental music (from Elden Ring) sounded very good, rock (I tested Abracadavre, a song from Call of Duty: Black Ops 1) and at around second ~0:20 where the good part starts, sounded somehow disappointing *with the default Dirac equalizer setting*, but once I tested the customized equalizer I just showed earlier it sounded MUCH better (still not even close to the BOSE headphones, but they do sound from acceptable to good now). If you combine these settings with a separate equalizer app, you can probably make these sound much better. The ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) is, like mentioned in Linus Tech Tips, pretty decent-good, it is like 1/3 the strength of the BOSE headphones (ANC from CMF does not hurt the 1st time you use it, I recall the 1st time I used the BOSE ANC that I felt being inside a submarine very deep in the ocean). Microphones during calls: sounds very clear (in a room with metal fans that make strong white noise). I tested by calling myself to another phone. Case: It fits extremely tight on the small pockets that jeans have. So far has done it's job of charging, but since this is day 1 I will not talk about this aside of saying it works. Connection: Tested on an Asus Zephyrus G15 GA503QR (Linux Pop-OS), Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 and Google Pixel 6. In all it connects fast and stable. Sometimes increasing the volume increases more loudly one bud first but then the other bud catches up, but normally they both do it at the same time. Audio to video latency, okay-good. When I start a YouTube video the audio kicks in at like second 1-2, but after that no noticeably latency (very slight latency whenever I saw someone in a video game shoot, the sound and visual recoil of gun did not match, maybe 0.2-0.4 ms latency guesstimating by eye). Ear tip fit: pretty good, I recommend trying the large one for a better seal, so the ANC is better (not by that much). Does it fit: Yes, it does not fall off at all, can sleep while wearing them comfortably (sleeping on the side). Is this worth it? Yes (in my case, for $20 this was a steal), but I will suggest looking the Plus version of these earbuds since (I believe, please check first) the equalizer settings on the Nothing app for that earbud is much more detailed and advanced, also you can modify how strong you want the ANC to be (and has like personalized audio, whatever that means). The CMF Buds 2 Plus is $80 and CMF Buds 2A $50, so if you see the Plus in discount closer to $50 I suggest you get those; otherwise Buds 2A for less than $30 is very good deal (both are reviewed in Short Circuit channel on YouTube). Pretty satisfied. Updated 12/7/25: 1. Bluetooth range: Much better than my Bose, very surprised. 2. Battery life is very good, was in a call for like 2 hours and still had like 65% I believe. 3. This supports the feature that Airpods have of "seamlessly" connecting between multiple devices and switching fast (I have not tried it, but you need the Nothing app to enable it. Annoyances: 1. No way to disable hang up calls and other call specific touch gestures. I accidentally hung up a call trying to adjust my buds. 2. The touch sensor is VERY sensitive, and... essentially the WHOLE stick of the bud is detected by the sensors, so just adjusting them at the tip (the opposite side of the sensor's location) will still hang up the call, so be careful. 3. If bud slides off your ear, use a smaller size. For me small size prevents them from falling off. So far very good and solid performance.

Amazing for the price
They work great, and have amazing noise cancelation for their design. They are one of the few earbuds that don't fall out of my ears constantly like most other cheep buds. The microphone quality is amazing too. They have a noticeable delay IF you have an older phone. They have a heavy bass tune as well, as advertised.

Great for the price - massive ANC issues, read the full review if you want all the info
Honestly if it weren't for all the marketing BS, this would have been a 5 star review, plain and simple: this are awesome for the price, this tend towards the bass side, it can be better with an EQ adjustment but will always lean towards the bass, the ANC is just bad, honestly don't buy them for that, the mic is usable, always keep in mind the price, for that price this is an amazing product, just go with the right expectations, this are not audio file type headphones. Update: there is a massive issue with the ANC, it enables itself constantly... At first I thought it was me touching the headphones but I disabled the option for that in the app... It keeps happening, this is honestly a big issue, I am thinking about returning them now, the issue could be potentially dangerous when you are walking outside or worst if running, I always set it to OFF, as it is really not good and is distracting the ANC, but no matter what I do it keeps coming back on, on its own, it can be disorienting and make you feel nauseated, specially if you are walking or moving in any way with just one of the buds on you, as it leaves you half deaf, you may loose balance and fall if you don't pay attention and notice that something is wrong and it could make you feel uncertainty about your own hearing, like if you were loosing it, because again, the ANC is bad it doesn't filter all the outside sounds, so you still hear things, you just hear them a bit less, honestly if it keeps enabling itself I may have to return them, I already issued some sort of help ticket on the app, we'll see what happens. Update: CMF has not responded to my ticket, it seems the issue could be related to the mobile app, I tested them with another phone without the app installed and the issue was did not repeat, I just uninstalled the app on my phone (which is kind of dumb, because I like to control the EQ manually to help the sound quality) and I will be testing over the next couple of days, I am still leaning towards returning them, specially if there is no response from CMF, I honestly would love to have a kill switch and just completely disable the garbage ANC forever Update: uninstalling the app helped but the issue persist, it enables itself, the good thing is that now happens like once or twice a day, not like before which was like every 30 seconds, still don't like that I basically loose complete control as I can't use the app, but it's definitely better this way, still no communication from CMF, I honestly like the headphones, specially for the price but I am still leaning towards returning them, what if the issue gets worse? And what if that happens after the return window closes? Not a fan of the lack of communication, specially seeing that there are more reviews here commenting similar issues, reviews from many months ago... Which indicates that there is no interest on fixing the issue... Which is really sad, they damaged their own product for the sake of.....? What? Marketing? Just to be able to say "we have ANC"? Sad... Last update: CMF never answer, I downloaded the app and it seems like the issue is fixed, I am going to keep them, but I am also going to leave the 1 star review, I would leave 0 stars if possible, honestly this are really good for the money but it almost feels like the marketing was designed to shoot themselves on the feet and they definitely manage to do it multiple times.... sad, if you are planning on buying these remember to disable the ANC and disable the touch setting on the buds that enables them immediately, that would save you a lot of "what is happening?" moments, also I would recommend using a custom EQ and fine tune them removing as much bass as you feel comfortable with, it would make a huge difference, you will go from just hearing the bass of every song to actually being able to hear the song, the vocals and all of the other instruments!

Built With Integrity
+ : subtle noise cancellation, additional earbud sizes, quick connection, comfortable fit, long battery life, holes for keychain strap, fast charging, noise signals - : not completely noise cancelling, light plasticky case I'm sure if you look at any of the other reviews under this item you can already tell this is a no-brainer. For the price, the earbud performance quality is pretty on par with any other competition but for 90% less for the most part. First, they're very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods of time. For my side-sleepers, you'll definitely feel them while you sleep but they don't get painful like airpods do. The silicone parts are one of my favorite aspects of the earpods. They make wearing them extremely comfortable. I wore both in for exactly 1 hour and the battery hit 85% so I'd estimate that one charge lasts a little over 6.5hrs as long as battery distribution is consistent. You can move around a lot with them in and they will not come out, the only exception being while eating. The connection time is very fast and there is UI displays for the devices you connect it to so you can see battery (at least on iPhone and Mac). Noise indicators also signal connection. When putting it back in its case, they've attached magnets so its clean and easy. The box is slightly bulky but it's light-weight with a slight plastic feel. The noise cancellation is at a comfortable level for me personally but for those wondering its not exactly full noise cancellation. It cuts excess noise by about half but I find that its a more comfortable experience than full noise cancellation but for those wondering, don't expect it to be airpod pro level noise cancellation. It gives you enough to focus without being completely cut off from your surroundings. The price (22.34 w/prime) is very good for the quality.

An amazing budget friendly option!
Having used the new CMF Buds 2a for a couple of weeks, I am genuinely impressed with the value CMF has packed into this 2025 model. The headline feature, the 42dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling, is the real star of the show. It performs well above its price point, effectively silencing the low-frequency drone of my daily bus commute and the distracting hum of the office air conditioner. The sound profile is also quite pleasing for general listening; the bass is present and punchy without being muddy, and the mids are clear, making podcasts and vocals come through crisply. The connection has been rock-solid, and I've experienced zero dropouts when walking through busy city streets. The unique CMF design aesthetic is also here, and they look far more premium than they cost. However, these earbuds are not without their trade-offs. While the ANC is fantastic with constant, low-frequency sounds, it struggles a bit more with sharper, unpredictable noises like nearby conversations or a dog barking. It dampens them, but they definitely still cut through. The call quality is another area where you feel the budget-friendly nature of the buds. In a quiet room, my voice comes through perfectly clear, but the microphones have a tough time isolating my voice from background noise when I'm on a windy street or in a bustling coffee shop. Furthermore, while the fit is comfortable for hours of listening, they don't feel quite secure enough for high-impact exercise; I wouldn't trust them to stay put during a run.Ultimately, the CMF Buds 2a are an easy recommendation for a huge number of people. The battery life is more than enough to get through a full day of heavy use, and the case provides several extra charges. Features like in-ear detection and customizable controls through the app are excellent quality-of-life additions that you don't always see at this price. If you are a daily commuter, a student, or an office worker looking for excellent noise cancellation and great sound without breaking the bank, these are an absolute win. If you're an audiophile seeking perfect sound reproduction or someone who makes frequent calls in noisy environments, you may want to look at a more premium option. For everyone else, this is one of the best feature-per-dollar deals on the market right now.
