Made my decision to purchase this based on the reviews. Well here is mine. I bought this for my elderly father mainly to make toast. Wanted a toaster oven so he could heat up other items, not to bake. The top of this oven get so HOT just from using it once to make toast. I can't imagine baking with it or having children use it. Toasts only one side of bread even though both burners light up if put in right from the start. You have to turn the toaster on, wait a bit, then put bread in to get some what of an even shaded piece of toast. If you don't you will have burnt toast on the top. Way to much heat radiating from the top. My opinion is to choose wisely if you have children or elderly folks in the house who might be using this. I've purchased B&D products in the past, this my first review and unfortunately it's a negative one.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Since the DAY we got this, it’s made this awful, wildly anniying buzzing sound when it gets above 300 degrees, which is pretty much the point of it. There’s no way to stop it. Not sure if there’s a defect in our particular unit or if they’re all built this poorly.

We had a Black & Decker toaster for 10 years prior and it was wonderful. This one, however, not so much. Does it cook, yes, but it makes the loudest rattling noises and the entire thing vibrates and shakes. The front door shakes/rattles the entire time it is on and cooking. The tray on the inside rattles/shakes. For this, I would not recommend. I know these can be quieter and should not shake/vibrate/rattle while being used.

This is an excellent toaster oven. It is easy to use and works well. I use it instead of a toaster and am very pleased with it. I like that it is big enough for a medium casserole dish. I find I use it more than my coventional oven. I can't say enough positive things about this appliance. I give it an A+.

Very surprised that the innovator of toaster ovens created one with many issues. (1) The toaster rack is centered in the oven ... guess what? When you place your bread or bagel on the rack, the top of the bread is closer to the top heating elements, than the bottom side. Thus, the top often burns, or the bottom is not correctly toasted. (2) The pan provided is smaller than the full rack and warps at temps above 300 degrees. (3) The dimensions seem large enough until you try to cook anything more 4 slices of bread. (4) They claim 6 slices of bread ... really? No way.

If you are looking for a toaster oven mainly to make toast, this is not the toaster oven for you. The timer on the machine is very difficult to set and it's practically impossible to get it to the same place every time. The other problem is it's really hard to disengage the timer when you are done. I thought I had disengaged the time (the light went off) and left a slice of toast in the oven to keep it warm. Unfortunately the timer hadn't disengaged and I ended up in setting off all the smoke alarms in my house!

The foot print of this toaster oven is a bit more than what it replaced (one of the $30 cheapie B&D's, which lasted 3 years before burning out.) This one has a lot more features, and does a decent job over all. My only complaint is actually kind of major, until you get used to it: It seems to run a bit hot. For example, following directions on the Totino's Pizza Rolls bag will get you some burnt crusts with burnt cheese all over the tray. Back it down like 10 degrees, for about 2 minutes less.

the rack has only 2 settings if toasting, the top will toast the bottom will not same for the bottom setting . the knob that turns it on and off very hard to turn on. The pan that came it warps very time you use it, very cheap.
