Let me first comment on the other reviews: This book is very similar to the book published on Freddie Mercury as part of the solo collection over 10 years ago. However, its not correct to review a product compared to other ones. Its important to mention it, but not all own that solo collection, and for those who don't, this book should be reviewed on its own.As for the book, this is a very large and very impressive book on Freddie Mercury. Contains mainly photographs of him, starting of his childhood, through Queen days and the solo days. Though the photos are not rare. But the quality of the book is very good, some of the photos are on double pages, some on one page.As mentioned already, this book is very similar to the one in Freddie Mercury Solo Collection (which contains also 12 discs) published over 10 years, and hard to find these days (even if you do, it will cost you a lot). If you own the solo collection, you might consider whether you should buy this book. You might be very disappointed that its almost the same book you already own. Pity that the publishers were not creative enough to add new material. For those who already own the solo collection, it's absolutely a rip off.If not, its highly recommended for anyone: either Freddie's fans or not. The book is not so expensive either.The book contains also a radio interview with Freddie on a CD inside of it (attached to the book).

This book was bigger then I expected which was a nice surprise so I've put it next to a normal size book to show the size.I have been after this for ages as its been out of stock a while. The pictures are beautiful and some I've never seen before. It's got baby pictures, family, some of his work from Art college and it's just wonderful. It also has a lot of text in which I wasn't expecting so I can't wait to read it. Highly recommend for any Freddie Mercury fan :)

Great book for all queen fans, lots of rare photos and stories

I was really looking forward to this book and when it arrived and looked through it, I have seen every photo except two before. Upon careful inspection, I realised this book was realised years ago in the form of Freddie Mercury: The Solo Collection containing 12 Discs of music, interviews and music videos. The book itself is a near copy, with only slight wording differences and the photos swapped round slightly. That product did set me back at around £80 though.However, in itself, if I hadn't already seen it all before than it is a great book with some great pictures and for that It would get a 5 star rating. The reason for giving it 3 was because I was expecting something new and in a way feel a little cheated for buying it. I was tempted to return it, but realised I know somebody that would love to have a look through the pictures and as a result they will be getting it instead.Pictures in the book take a look at Freddie's childhood, through to coming to England and his college days, right through his music career and provides for a wonderful visual journey into Mr Mercury.

Anything Freddie Mercury gets a 10/10.Sturdy, well made book.would recommend
