Solid EDC backpack
This is great backpack for anyone who likes clamshell-type backpacks. There is good storage in the backpack, and having the expandable pocket up front to hold a rain jacket or the like is quite handy.

Favourite bag, please bag designers make packs to stand up on their own🤮
One of my favourite 2025 buys. I do have a bag buying problem so the competition is stacked. I'll start with the color. The gray is always a great choice and muted in the general public. The storage is absolutely superb. The thoughtful placement of the zippered pockets is just very well thought out, especially when you carry everyday with purpose. The 25 liter claim is spot on but it doesn't count the exterior molle/stretch/snap buckle pocket which is my favourite part. The soft pouch on top is perfect for glasses and anything that needs protection. This backpack is replacing the yeti crossroads 25 and the siege is far more comfortable in every way possible. Plus I was ready for something with some tactical edc purposed capabilities and the siege has it hands down. Ok now for the bad. I'm unsure who designs the purpose driven backpacks these days but I wish they would take heed to one very specific concern. When a person puts their pack down it's usually to unzip it and grab something or to handle other business and then pick it back up. Why why why why why can't they make these stand up on their own without falling forward? My eberlestock was awesome minus this and it's so frustrating to pay hundreds for a baf that falls over. Anyways it's my favourite bag right now and will be until I find it's equal that doesn't fall over.

Nicely done Vertx!
I would like to point out that I purchased this backpack when it was on sale for Black Friday for 100$ less than MSRP. And at this price point this bag is phenomenal. It is quite versatile and offers plenty of room for all your needs The Velcro is really a bonus. Although vertx accessory pouches are on the pricey side, being able to attach pouches within the bag is great. Velcro is strong and sticks quite well. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Has that urban tactical feel but it doesn’t stand out like that unless you get the coyote color way. I ended up with black which blends well in the public’s eye and won’t draw too much attention. Having 2 water bottle holders AND a spot for a camel back water bladder is awesome. It’s the perfect size for EDC, a go bag, or SHTF bag.

give me more compartments and larger side bottle holders.
The padding on the laptop sleeve could be a bit thicker. This bag also needs a 2nd main compartment. I don't want one huge compartment where I have to throw everything into, including my laptop computer. I don't know why tactical nylon companies just can't design a bag to be just right for every day use. It's always gotta be some bag that's ready for the apocalyptic bug out or something. Not to mention these bags have bottle holders on the sides......except they're taking design queues from 1990. The bottle holders are so small. And by small, I mean short. They can definitely fit a smaller 21oz but if you stuff a 40oz bottle in it, the sleeve is so short, you run the risk of the bottle just tipping over and out of the sleeve. Large insulated bottles are not a new thing anymore. Almost everyone carries around an insulated bottle. And the target audience of these bags are probably going to be larger dudes or dudes who carry larger bottles. Make the bottle holder big enough to securely hold our water bottles bruh.

Compartments hiding inside and out! Great!
Great bag, 5 star! There are more places to insert or attach items than any bag I’ve seen. I continue to add one more item, and there’s still room for one more. The expandable exterior pouch is perfect for shoes, bulky jacket, other large items. Comfortable straps and customizable fit.

The straps prevent this from being perfect
Absolutely loved every single thing about this backpack… except the straps. They are weird and clunky and look terrible, and they sit strangely on your body. If you could remove the pouches somehow or adjust in any other way, this would be perfect. It was certainly a choice to put straps like this on here.

Great pack for tactical use or EDC
This is a great pack. I have a number of packs and I’ve never been 100% happy. Too heavy or not enough storage and I don’t understand why all companies don’t have a light interior even on black packs. This pack solves a lot of those issues. I particularly like the outside pocket that can be used to store a tactical helmet. Recommended for LEO or soldier.
