missing parts but worth the price.
very nice guitar and would have given this 5 stars but several items were missing from the box. When I wrote about the missing parts I didn't receive any response. I thought about sending it back but the guitar itself is a very good bargain. I played the guitar for many years and after breaking my last guitar by accident I gave up the hobby for years. After retiring several years ago, I missed playing the guitar and decided to treat myself. It is a beautiful guitar to look at and has a great sound. Even my arthritic hands can manipulate the neck. I love this guitar and would highly recommend it for a new student or as a great guitar to pick up and play whenever.

Awesome Guitar!!
After purchasing a guitar that wouldn't tune, I decided to spend a little more money and try to get a better quality guitar. This guitar is really nice and exactly what we were looking for, for my son who is a beginner. It tunes well and stays tuned. My son loves it. It sounds great. I would highly recommend this guitar and do not hesitate rating it 5 stars!!

Great buy, excellent quality
I bought this guitar for my 12 yr. old granddaughter based on the reviews and her teacher's recommendation. It is a lovely guitar with a rich sound. She loves playing it. She practices more on this guitar than on her electric guitar.

GUITAR IS DEFECTIVE. EXPENSIVE TO FIX.
It's nice, pretty, and I liked the sound. But right out of the box I noticed that the bottom string plays the same note for four different frets. It was extremely disappointing and as a beginner, it was frustrating to learn on. I held onto it, figuring maybe I just had to tune it better. But I had it looked at and the guitar itself is defective. I could pay to have it fixed, but why should I when I dropped almost $200 on this guitar? Not worth the money, don't buy this.

Best choice for affordable classical.
Amazing quality for this cheap of a classical. I absolutely love it. The book with it is pointless but the tuner works surprisingly pretty okay. The instrument itself is beyond worth this price. Don't get anything else as an initial clasical guitar.

Three lower strings broke by themselves after 1 hour of play
The guitar looks sturdy and well made. Sound good too. But after 4 weeks, just 1 hour in total playing, three lower strings broke by themselves. They are mental strings, not sure why.

shop and compare
I liked my Cordoba CP100 Nylon String Guitar Pack, but wouldn't pay full price for it. Purchased used at a 50% discount, it had a rosewood fingerboard and bridge - not "engineered wood" or "techwood". Frets were all level. Body of laminated wood. Adjustable truss rod. Nut and saddle manufactured of a composite material. The nut was advertised as being a standard 52mm, but when I replaced it with one of bone, I found it to actually be 50mm. The setup needed to be refined because its strings were buzzing. My main problem with this package is two fold. I expected a better guitar case from Cordoba. The one in this package has no padding, simply a canvas dust cover. Secondly, if paying full price for this package, a better deal can probably be had for a Yamaha classical, Ortega classical, or even the Cordoba C1.

This guitar is awesome. Accessories could improve...
This guitar is awesome. It took a few weeks to get the nylon strings to stay in tune for more than a few hours. But I'm told that it's not unusual for them to need tweaking as they stretch. And within a month I didn't have to tune it as often, Quite a beautiful sound for its price point. I got it on sale as a guitar to take camping. But I actually like it WAY more than that. I prefer to play it over my more expensive steel string acoustic. The sound is full and just lovely. As for the accessories: I would give that a zero stars rating. If they were the deciding factor to buy the guitar, I would have been very disappointed, But I already had picks and a tuner that works very well, so it didn't irk me too much to find this malfunctioning tuner. The battery door of the tuner doesn't put enough pressure on the battery for the battery to power up the device. The bag is a nice and functional dust cover, but doesn't offer much for protection. If you buy this, buy for an inexpensive, nice sounding beginner classical guitar. And wait for the sale. ;O)
