⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Powerful, Quiet, and Exactly What We Were Looking For
After a lot of research and comparing Panasonic, LG, and several other 1200-watt countertop microwaves, we finally chose the Sharp SMC2266KS—and I’m glad we did. The first thing you notice is the quality. The stainless steel finish looks great, the interior is spacious at 2.2 cubic feet, and it easily accommodates large dinner plates and casserole dishes. Heating has been fast and remarkably even. No more cold spots in the center or overheated edges. The controls are simple and intuitive, the display is easy to read from across the kitchen, and it’s noticeably quieter than the microwave it replaced. The sensor cooking and reheating functions have worked surprisingly well so far, taking much of the guesswork out of heating leftovers. We specifically wanted a full-size 1200-watt microwave with a true stainless steel front, and this one checked every box. It feels like a premium appliance without the premium price. After extensive shopping, this ended up being one of the best values we found. If you’re looking for a large, powerful countertop microwave with excellent performance and a clean, modern appearance, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Sharp. Highly satisfied with this purchase.

Nice big microwave oven.
This is the 3rd, large Sharp microwave I've owned - really like them for size, power, and control panel logic. Compared to the last one, the control panel on this one is smaller and harder to see and use - which is a downside. Also miss the 30 second choice from the old oven, as I used that all the time. The interior is dark, which may hide stains, but I liked a lighter colored interior, to spot spills and see food better. Compared to the last one, this oven runs very quietly, and beep signal is a little weaker. Overall still a great oven, with the large capacity I need.

Big, powerful, and very quiet
Big. Very quiet. Powerful. Heats and cooks foods and liquids. Quite an achievement! I had a 25-yr old GoldStar that quit recently and I mourn its passing. Can't replace. This guy doesn't have the features and functions I had with the GoldStar, but you work with what you have, right? Overall it's fine. I wish it were white. Note: I bought this one used. No problems because of that but the box it came in was way flimsy, covered in tape, and I thought for sure the microwave within wouldn't work. It does, no problem, but the outer case (thin sheet metal) was banged up and dented in a few places. I DIY so with a few simple tools it was put 95% to rights. This is where so many reviewers give the product one star and go on and on about the packaging. Call me crazy but I thought we were reviewing the product not the box it came in. Should it have been packaged better? Absolutely. But the unit works well, so five stars. Good value for the price.

Great replacement microwave - but be aware it's BIG
When the Panasonic microwave we had since 2019 decided to stop working, I started reading reviews to find a replacement. I quickly learned that since that last purchase, laws were passed requiring child proof locks on countertop microwaves and that some models allowed you to disable that feature and others didn't. One of the top criteria was the ability to disable it - it's just my husband and myself, kids and grown and we have no grandchildren nor friends who visit with little ones, and my dog is too short to reach the appliances. Another "must" was quick-cook buttons for 1-6 minutes (some only had 1-3) and we wanted at least 1100 watts, preferably 1200. What we didn't need were the combo features such as air fryer or broiler capability. We did want inverter technology. We had good luck with Sharp products in the past, so this one ended up on the short list since it checked all those boxes. When it arrived, it was a little bit of a surprise. It was big - much larger than the one we were replacing, and that one wasn't tiny. But it just fit in the space, and I was immediately impressed with the ability to heat two frozen dinners at the same time. I was also impressed with how quiet it is. Oh, and the child-proof lock was super easy to disable. We've been using it every day and it does the job and was a good value for the price.

Decent microwave. A little weak for my taste
Not as strong as I hope but the next grade up is several hundred more, so this will have to do. It is big and it's very quiet. I hate the double door lock feature, but that's standard across all microwaves nowadays (boo!). It does a decent job at warming evenly (albeit a little slower than we're used to). For the price, it's a decent microwave. One thing that's a little annoying is to cook for anything other than exact number of minutes, you must press cook time first. I cant presss 4-5-start to cook for 45 seconds because it'll automatically start for 4 minutes as soon as I press 4.
