Excellent resource for teens and young adults
I bought this book to share with my teenage son on the autism spectrum. He can read it himself, but it's also great for going through together. The sections all can be used individually (work, social situations, family, etc.) so the whole thing doesn't need to be read cover to cover in order. The illustrations are engaging and helpful, especially the ones on facial expressions. This is an excellent resource with tons of practical advice for helping my son navigate all the unwritten rules in the social world.

Highly helpful teaching for how to navigate life's social situations
This book is a great tool for anyone wanting to help adolescents, teens, or young adults (or any of us really) learn how to navigate life. It can be hard and scary going into social situations not knowing what to do, what to say or how to act. Katie Saint and Carlos Torres lay it out in easy to understand scenarios. Michelle Lund's illustrations clearly depict what their words are saying. "Awkward" is going to help a lot of people. Very well done.

Must have in my office
Great book! I love how simple the lessons are set up. Very clear and straightforward, even for clients who have different abilities. It's a must have in my practice!

Great For Social Skills
This is an amazing book! It is very specific which is what makes it easier to understand. If you have an older child or young adult on the spectrum, buy this book!

Just what I needed!
This book is exactly what I’ve been looking for! It’s simple, but clear and direct so that young adults can understand. I love the “do” and “do not” sections to make it extremely clear what is appropriate, what isn’t, and why. Great teaching tool for my social skills groups!

Did not like
Did not go over well with 15/16 year olds. Very childish probably best for 10-12 age range. Maybe 13 at most
