MetagenicsKaprex, Selective Kinase Response Modulators for Joint Comfort, Plant Based - 60 Softgels

Part of an effective regimen that has many components for my osteoarthritis of the hip.Preceding my hip inflammation by four or so years, a long standing condition of repetitive injury, specifically groin strain, then the pain/inflammation and weakness began spreading to the adductor muscle (inside thigh muscle), then continuing on to affect my abductor or outside thigh muscle and IT band, which runs from knee to upper side buttocks, into the lower back, this IT band is very long!. So in this cascade of effects, the hip joint was out of alignment and then subject to friction because it was no longer sitting in the proper alignment.Though various chiropractors and massage therapists offered me some relief, with one chiropractor getting me back to about 85%range of motion and no pain. However, for some unknown reason he changed his protocol and it was no longer effective in putting and/or keeping the hip joint in its place. Had someone somewhere along the way, given me hip stabilization exercises, which I found out too late from a sports therapist, I would rarely have had to go back to someone to have this hip joint put back into place, instead keeping the joint aligned with very specific exercises designed to keep it there. So I find myself not only with osteoarthritis, but also still the chronic pain, weakness and inflammation surrounding the whole hip complex. Though prescription strength ibuprophen, and then sometimes flexaril - muscle relaxer - would often give me immediate relief, taking these over a long period of time are actually detrimental to the health of the joint and muscle tissues. Enter natural remedies. I have a long list of what I take, but specifically for pain : Nature's way devils claw extract - 2 capsules - there is just a devils claw they make but not as potent, so look for the extract, NOW's Bowellia extract, 2 capsules Flora's White Willow Bark, 2 capsules Viva Labs or Nutrigold's Turmeric Curcumin Complex, 2 capsules Doctor's Best MSM 2 capsules Metagenics Kaprex 1 capsule Now I know this is a lot in one sitting, but it took finding this, thru my own experimentation, for my level of pain. Averaging 5-8 on the pain scale very often. But I get a handful of brazil nuts or other nuts/seeds, with a glass of water, and take these about 3 or 4 at a time, eat another nut, swallow 3 or 4 more capsules, etc. This is as effective for me as the ibuprophen, inhibits the cox 1 and cox 2 and quelling inflammation and further joint destruction. And over time, approximately 120 days, has steadily, along with my regimen specially addressing my osteoarthritis condition, gotten me to a function and pain level of , over the past two weeks, around 3 to 4, and I've been pushing it due to the Christmas shopping season! This has allowed me to very gradually add exercises back into my routine that I have been able to do for a long time because of pain and muscle weakness. As I'm able to strengthen and stabilize my core and hips, this will then, I'm hoping, continue to improve my condition.

I have very good reviews for this product. I started taking it in 2007. My hands were quite sore and I had problems opening jars or any thing with a lid. After I started taking this, at first 2-three times a day to get into my system, then 2-twice a day and eventually moved to 2 once a day. The soreness in my hands and joints went away. I was able to open jars and lids without any difficulty and move with more comfort.I stopped taking it about 10 years ago because of several factors related to cost of the product and where I was in my finances. When my hands started hurting me again recently, I immediately thought of Kaprex. I was going to contact Metagenics, who produces the product and is in Gig Harbor, WA, then I found it on Amazon, so I ordered it. I will now not be without again!

I had a serious clicking in my right knee with swelling & minor aches for over a year . I went to the doctor and tried the anti-inflammatory medicines, icing daily and nothing! My Chiropractic said to try the Kaprex for a month to see if it would help...within a week ALL my joints were feeling better. I didn't even realize my fingers were that swollen till they stop hurting and I can type faster! I finished the first month and purchased another bottle and after about 2 weeks my knee popped twice right behind my knee cap....all the clicking stopped and I can feel the blood flowing again!! It has been 3 weeks now since that has happened and loving life again..walking, mowing the grass. The bottle says Worry-Free joint Relief and it is so true. I am 57 yrs old but my joints feel morre like I did when I was in my 20's.

My problem with this product is that it seems to keep me awake all night! I don't go to sleep until 6:00 or so in the morning. It seems to handle the pain pretty well, but I can't keep going without sleep!

My first acquaintance with this product was when prescribed by an alternative-practicing MD who had treated my husband for chronic Lyme disease. Luckily his discomforts have subsided, but when I could no longer take ibuprofen due to a new onset of hypertension, I was really have a tough time with joint discomforts and morning stiffness. My particular problem is generalized joint inflammation (especially back area) as related to Sjogren's. We still had some Kaprex in the home and its effectiveness has been amazing! I have since then been ordering regularly and take 2x daily as suggested. As a nurse, I try to research all products thoroughly, and I am relieved that there are no reported interactions. My BP has returned to a normal range and there seems to be no issues with my current antihypertensive regimen. I strongly encourage anyone having joint stiffness or pain to give it a try!

Didn’t help and very expensive

Kaprex does a fantastic job of eliminating joint pain and there isn't a problem if you end up taking it long-term...something that can't be said for ibuprofen. My daughter had this suggested for her by her doctor. When she was done, I thought I would try if for a knee issue. I didn't realize it was for pain, but thought it was a supplement to assist in healing. I was SO surprised when I forgot my knee actually hurt...and this was while skiing hard day after day!!!So recognize it is for pain, not healing...but that it works quite well!

This is a great product, almost as effective as ibuprofen. But what happened to the price? Just a few months ago, I paid $46 for this same size bottle. Now it's 64?
