It says not to, but you really should use an electronic screwdriver or a drill on medium-low settings. This will ensure the thing is super sturdy and really expedite the whole process (including if you end up having to go back and "undo" any mistakes, like me). I am super pleased with the quality, it looks expensive, my mom guessed I paid $400 for it. The only cheap part about it is that the finish is easily scratched, so clean your floors thoroughly before putting it together to avoid getting scratches all over it just from assembly. I ordered it in the Antique White, which is a greyish cream color. I'll post photos soon. It's a beautiful piece for a really fair price. I'm very happy with the purchase, I even feel grateful to the retailer for its affordability.

I love it it is a beautiful piece, It arrived quicker than estimated (in two boxes about 60 lbs each witch I was able to load into my 2 door car). The assembly took me two evenings after work and I was able to do most of it by myself but did have a little helping hand from my boyfriend. My one issue is that there is a half inch gap between the two front middle doors and I emailed the seller who says maybe the hinges can be repositioned but I don't see how that would be possible since the holes in witch you place the hinges cannot be moved. I did have one other problem during assembling one of the hinges to one of the glass doors; the hole was stripped so I used small wood slivers from something like a popsicle stick to insert into the hole so the screw would grab into it. you may use toothpicks I suppose should you run into this problem.

The size of this is exactly what we needed in our front hallway. It took two of us 2+ hours to put it together. The directions could have been a little bit clearer in some steps and you have to juggle/balance some parts but we managed. The sucky part was putting the cabinet doors on and getting them on aligned perfectly. They rub on the sides or we have one door that is just a nuisance to adjust and we don't know how to fix it. The directions say to screw/unscrew parts of the hinges to align but it doesn't say exactly how and which way to make it go which way. After 2+ hours of building we just wanted to be done so we gave up on that door for now. Another caution is that it can scratch very easily, especially during the juggling of some parts so take caution with that. Our buffet came with some dings on some pieces but they were on parts that wouldn't be seen so we didn't care. Really great looking piece. Really great price.

I have spent hours trying to get the doors to line up and no luck yet... The drawers are fine, but the doors rub the edges of the drawers. The cabinet is nice enough but not worth this trouble.

This is a beautiful piece of furniture. The hardware bag(s) for assembly were a bit overwhelming but it was easy to assemble. Wrapped wonderfully and all pieces as the should be. I wasn’t expecting the quality to be so amazing. It is truly a nice piece of furniture and you can’t beat good quality for this price!! We are very pleased!

Nothing to dislike. It's a decent product, I have seen and put together many worse, some much worse (in Europe). Everything fit properly, no hardware shortages, no damaged parts. For the price it's an excellent value, and looks great. Warning: If you have no experience putting together knock-down furniture, don't start with this, it will likely drive you crazy, it's not the simplest I have put together...

First, the instructions are unclear and in some cases, not accurate. Pictures are not of the real product but, a drawing that is also unclear and incorrect. Very frustrating to try to assemble and even then, final pieces do not fit properly. The width given for the cabinet is too large for the drawers provided so they will have to just sit, and not be used as they will fall out if they were used. Customer service is also very slow and not helpful. If I could return this I would and not purchase through this company again!

Better than expected for the price. You get a lot of stuff for what you pay. Overall quality was good, but there is room for improvement. Comes in 2 boxes and many parts to assemble, but the instructions were good and all went well when i followed the instructions. All parts and accessories are clearly numbered so its saves some grief. It took me over 4 hours from start to finish. The unit is bigger than i expected, but fits well for what we wanted. Overall its a well made unit [ unlike others from China i have seen earlier ].
