National Hardware S826-016 8022 Solid Doorstops in Chrome, 3"

I screwed it in by hand to the inside of my mostly hollow bedroom door and it shines and looks sharp. Does the job too of course.

Loved these doorstops. They look good and function well. I bought one and it was brilliant. I was actually able to put it in without drilling a pilot hole ... I literally used my bare hands to do most of it, and did the final bit screwing it in with a wrench. I didn't realize there were more traditional ways to screw these in, but if I can literally use only my hands, perhaps that's a way to go if you're having trouble. Perhaps I got "creative" because there weren't really good installation instructions included, and I just winged it.One review indicated they weren't good when stepped on, but I haven't tried stepping on any recently. All the doors open to places where people don't normally go; and all of the stoppers are functioning wonderfully. I should also note that, as compared to other stoppers -- including ones available at Lowes -- do not function quite as well. I wish we had bought more of these at the outset rather than experimenting our way through about four other door stoppers (two of which were available on amazon, including one magnetic option).They do what they need to at a good price, they are pretty straight forward to install, and the look good.

This item is only 3" long. Can't figure how they came up with "Product Dimensions: 6.6 x 7 x 4.5 inches"! It has a very attractive appearance though, and is nice and hefty. Too bad it's too short!

It scuffs very easily. The "oil rubbed bronze" color scraped off in a couple spots just while I was installing it (Which was very easy. You simply twist it into the wall like a giant screw). If it wasn't for the scratching issue, it'd look nice and feel pretty solid and secure.

This is a 3" Door Stop. Not 4&1/2" door stop as it is listed. Thanks for wasting my time. Son I am dissapoint.

The white tip is plastic. Last one was rubber but my dog chewed it off. The plastic lasted a little longer but eventually got chewed off.Works well, but not dog proof.

I purchased 6 of these for my newly remodeled home. They are of great quality and do the job perfectly. I love the finish and they look great!

Great value for the price! I bought several of these to replace the 1980s style, brass plated, spring-style doorstops. Every single doorstop in my house, to be exact. Not only were the old 1980s doorstops hideous, but my cats also discovered that they could bat at the springs, over and over and over agin, to produce this godawful BOINGA!BOINGA!BOINGA!BOINGA!BOINGA!!! sound. Over and over again. At three o'clock in the morning.My only compliant is that the screw was a bit thicker than the screw from my original doorstops, so I did have to get out the power drill and enlarge the hole.
