1000 mL Bottle Top Vacuum Filter with Bottle, 0.22 um PES Filter, Sterile, Individually Packaged

The one liter top portion is made of very thin brittle plastic. It cracks very easily. The collection jar is quite nice, thick glass with a good lid but it is too small. It should be at least two liters, although three or even four liters would be much more desirable. The apparatus does seal well and filter well. It does clog up a bit but that is to be expected (i.e. if it didn't it wouldn't filter out even 50 micron particles). As I stated in the title, the filter is not 0.22 microns. I have a small capacity 0.45 micron filter that filters out particulate that this filter does not. It does filter out about 10 to 50 micron particles (the ten is an estimate). I do know that one micron particles and larger get through the filter. I am estimating that about ten microns is the cut off. Although it could be closer to twenty five or thirty microns.

For the price they are decent but I washed the top part one time by hand with hot soapy water and the plastic turned opaque and cracked. Ruined after one use. Seller should include a warning not to wash on hot water.

Works awesome. For all you idiots, it’s only a one time use piece of equipment. It states that in the directions when I purchased it. Stop overdosing on stupid pills.! Good product. If you break it during use, there is something wrong with your operation. It’s not for construction projects. Just saying
