This dash cam is superb in all aspects. It’s easy to set up, the instructions are clear, the picture quality is great, the screen is large enough for you to view but compact enough so it’s not in the way and it works seamlessly with the GKU App. I like the fact that it has a rear camera included, and both front and rear connections are via usb c. I did have to replace my existing rear hardwire cable with the new one (which was provided in the box) as my old one was only a jack type fitting, but it was easy enough to do. There is also a third, internal camera which records inside the vehicle. As my kit is hardwired (i.e. it doesn’t run through the provided cigarette lighter socket cable), I can also use the GPS and parking mode functions, which are worthwhile in my opinion. You will need a hardwire kit if you want this additional functionality, so please bear that in mind when making your purchase. The GKU App is easy to use and adding the camera was simple enough, once I’d followed the instructions to turn off my mobile data, Bluetooth and any existing WiFi connections on my phone before connecting to the GKU WiFi. It does display a message on your phone saying it’s not connected but that disappears if you go out of your phone settings and then back in again. Once the camera was installed on the app I formatted the sd card (which was also included) and it was good to go. I could view footage from the sd card and download photos and videos if I wanted to. It all worked very well. The main controls are all easy to reach on the base of the dash cam, and the camera displays the various functions clearly. I found it all very easy to navigate, select my time zone, language, etc. If you’re looking for a decent dash cam, at a reasonable price, I would wholeheartedly recommend this one. My previous dash cam was also a GKU and the customer service I received when I had a query was nothing short of exceptional. In all, I am one very happy customer!

I bought a GKU dashcam to replace my old unit that broke, and was really happy with that product. I then went on to buy this one to fit to my wife's car. I chose this model as I was happy that the brand was good quality, and I wanted a model with 3 cameras so that video of the cabin could be record should it ever be needed. Much like the other camera, this one was very easy to install. The mounts use little electrostatic sheets that stick to the window using static, then the adhesive pad sticks to that. It's an incredibly strong mount, and so much better than sticking the pad straight to the window which always fails after a while. I was able to mount the camera in a position where it was slightly behind the rear view mirror, and still allowed the passenger side sun-visor to be lowered. Routing the cables was easy using the little pry tool included with the kit to push the cable behind panelling. There is no battery in this unit (a good thing, as it can't then wear out like my old dashcam did). Instead it is powered from the cigarette socket, so when the car starts the cam starts, and likewise when the ignition is turned off, the dashcam stops recording, then shuts itself down. You can get a permanent wiring kit for a few pounds that lets the camera keep running whilst the car is parked, and it will record if your car is hit, at the same time it monitors the cars battery so it won't drain it. Picture quality is excellent, really crisp clear images. The unit comes with a 64GB card which is enough to capture any incidents. Be aware though, that recording video from three high quality cameras will use up a lot of storage space, so if you want to keep several days worth of footage you may wish to invest in a larger card, but the one included is adequate to meet the cameras purpose. Camera autostarts recording when powered on, and the screen can be set to turn off after a while so it doesn't distract whilst driving. There is also an app for the camera, that lets you connect to the camera and retrieve GPS/Map data/G-Force info as well as download the videos, this all connects wirelessly from your phone. There are lots more features, but in essence this is a great dashcam with loads of features, whilst remaining very easy to use and install.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Dash Cam – Superb Video Quality & Massive Storage Capacity I’ve been using the GKU D1000 dash cam for a while now, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its overall performance. The video quality is outstanding—incredibly clear and detailed during the day, and just as impressive at night. Whether I'm driving under bright sunlight, in tunnels, or on dark roads, the footage consistently comes out sharp and easy to review. The wide-angle lens also captures a broad view of the road, which is great for recording important details from multiple lanes or intersections. What really makes this dash cam stand out is its support for up to a 512GB memory card. That’s a huge plus for anyone who wants extended recording time without the need to frequently delete or back up files. I can record hours—if not days—of high-resolution video before worrying about storage. This is especially useful for long-distance driving, rideshare drivers, or simply for extra peace of mind. Setup was quick and easy, and the interface is intuitive. The build quality also feels solid and reliable. Altogether, the GKU D1000 offers everything I could ask for in a dash cam—excellent video, long recording capacity, and ease of use. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dependable and feature-rich dashboard camera.

Camera itself is decent quality in terms of build and resolution. Had alot of issues and continue to have issues. Ongoing issues: It records on 15 second loops when I have set it for 5 mins. Wifi connection is ridiculous. It takes 20+ minutes to load the files on the app and that is IF they load. It's a pain trying to retrieve footage via app. Customer service responds after days. Included memory card is 64GB which is no good if you want to keep the footage for a day or 2 oncase you have to go back to it.

Disclaimer: Because I am a VIP customer of GKU, I enjoyed the privilege of this camera being purchased by the manufacturer GKU, but this review only represents my personal experience, I hope there is no bias! This GKU D1000 3 channel dash cam is a big step up from my previous GKU D600Pro - which itself is a very good camera. The video quality on both is great, but the D1000 is far easier to use and, of course, films what happens inside the car as well as out. The Usability improvements come from a row of buttons along the bottom, which can be used to change the view displayed on the much larger screen, to go back and watch videos and to configure the camera. All of these were much harder to do on the D600. The video quality on the D1000, both day time and night time is excellent. It is saved in 1 minute (by default - can be longer) chunks, so extracting just the bits that are important is simple - no video editing to cut out the bits you want. Videos can either be watched by removing the SD Card and downloading to a PC, or through the Mobile App, available on Android and iOS. The only issue I had, compared to the previous camera, was in fitting the rear camera. The rear camera cable (which is more than long enough for most cars) now has right-angled connectors. Perhaps it's only my car, but these wouldn't go through the cable duct between the car body and tailgate. I resolved this with a 1m USB-C extension cable without the right-angled connectors (see 4th photo), which I pulled through with the cable from the previous camera! But, as you can see from the 3rd photo, I got it fitted and it's all working fine! Just want to add a comment about the manufacturer, GKU. Their customer service is excellent. If you have any issues/questions etc when fitting your camera, they usually respond within a day and are very helpful. For example, my car has a USB-C socket up near the rear-view mirror for powering cameras. I'd bought my own cable to power the original D600 camera, but this didn't work. So, I contacted GKU and they sent me a cable that did work, free of charge. Even better, once everything was installed, they sent me a second cable, again free of charge, which was a much better length (only about 50cm) and looks much tidier.

I upgraded from the GKU D600, which was already excellent, and the D1000 takes it further with 4K front, 1080P interior, and rear cameras. The 5.8GHz WiFi is fast and reliable, GPS works great for tracking, and the night vision is impressively clear. It supports 24-hour parking monitoring (hardwire kit needed), includes a free 64GB card, and allows upgrades up to 512GB. Installation was simple—everything you need is included. I used my existing OBD power cable, so no fuse work needed. The only time-consuming part was neatly routing the rear camera cable. Image quality is fantastic both day and night, and accessing recordings is easy. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it for its quality, warranty and great customer support. Why pay loads more when this does everything i require and then some.

I've been using the GKU D1000 3 Channel Dash Cam for a few days now, and I can honestly say it has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The setup was straightforward, and the package came with everything I needed to get started. The instructions were clear, and the dash cam itself feels solid and well-built. Video Quality: The front camera delivers incredibly sharp and detailed footage, even in low-light conditions. The additional two channels (interior and rear cameras) provide comprehensive coverage, which gives me real peace of mind whether I'm parked or driving. Reviewing footage on the large screen is easy and intuitive. Just fitted this camera and it works great...but I will be returning it as when turned on it can't use Internet or other apps. It's as if it blocks everything else out. I tried to contact support but still waiting for reply. My advice is if you don't need to use other apps or Internet great but unlikely don't buy.
