Melissa & Doug Soft Activity Book – The Wonderful World of Peekaboo

This little book is great. I gave it to my (then) 7.5 mo boy and he loved it then. He still now at 9.5 mo loves it and in fact, when I squeak the squeaker his little face lights up and he cannons across the room at full Mach II crawl speed just to come and see who is hiding behind the leaves. He loves the first page especially - the cloud page is less interesting but the last page helps for saying night-night. Can definitely recommend.

My four month old absolutely loves this book. It’s very interactive with lots of peekaboo flaps.

This is a cloth book, ideal for small hands and to stimulate and satisfy curiosity. It is the ‘wonderful world of peekaboo’. The front cover makes a squeaky sound when pressed and the colourful balloon is partially attached by velcro.Leaves inside the book are variously silky, cotton or shiny. ‘Who is hiding behind the leaves?’ The clouds are soft to touch with a felt-like quality, whilst on the page ‘who is ready for bed’, the doors make a crinkly sound.This is colourful and super for sensory touch, feel and sound. However, I do not think the illustrated animals are especially identifiable, memorable or particularly cute.

Great book for tiny grandson and he loves it as it is a bit larger than other cloth books with more flaps per page. Got a photo of him ‘reading’ the book on his own today - clearly going to be an ace student.

Good variety of materials, nice art work in high contrast - baby absolutely loves it!

This is a nice little book but my goodness it's overpriced. The flaps are flimsy and the images underneath not inspiring. My one year old took one look when she got it 3 months ago and genuinely hasn't touched it since. Wouldn't recommend.

Little grandson loved it and can turn the flaps. Has educational value too.

Pros- easy to clean- many flaps to open- good sizeCons- pages are messy- colours are dull, especially the leaf page where everything blends together- the fabric is feels cheap and rough to touch- The pages are flimsy and difficult to holdAll in all I would not recommend this book. It could be made much sturdier, with higher quality material and with more cheerful colours.
