This is NOT pure vanilla extract. It’s water, with some pure extract, flavoring, caramel color and preservative. When I purchased in 2021 it was pure vanilla extract. I am returning this for a refund. **Q: Does it contain sugar?** A: NO, read the label now. It is 2018, and the label is different from the people commenting on the label ingredients in 2015. The only item on the label now is "vanilla bean extractives". No alcohol, no water, no sugar, like the original. You have to have alcohol in any extracts as its the alcohol that draws out the flavors. This is a watered down copied version and not the same at all as the original. Check out the label photos posted on this product from several years ago when they were selling the real one, and the copied version now. It is not vanilla extract at all. Tastes like water, and bad flavored water at that. You will want to throw it away.
