Great USB to TTL converter
I really like this USB to TTL serial converter, well designed. Works great as an ATmega328 programmer. Works from the Arduino IDE. I had to install the driver, was easy to do. If you are new to the Arduino prototyping platform make sure you connect a 16MHz crystal, 22pf load capacitors and a resistor to the chip if you are using a breadboard project. There are diagrams online. With the connections some schematics refer to DTR, this is the same ad RTS with this module.

Works out of the box no issues
Worked perfectly straight out of the box - bought other cheap ones on Amazon but had to return due to failing to work. Was successfully able to connect to a device via UART. No drivers required to be downloaded for either Windows 11 or Raspbian.

Surprised to find a great product!
I recently purchased the DSD TECH USB to TTL Serial adapter with FTDI FT232RL Chip from Amazon, and I must say that I am highly impressed with the quality of this product. This adapter is far superior to similar products due to its transparent case, which not only looks great but also protects the adapter from wear and tear over time. What sets this adapter apart from competitors is its unique casing – most other adapters do not come with a case, leaving them vulnerable to damage from everyday use. This is especially true if you use the adapter regularly, as exposure to the elements can cause damage to the internal components of the adapter. The DSD TECH USB to TTL Serial adapter's casing provides excellent protection against this, ensuring that your adapter will last for a long time. Another great feature of this adapter is that it comes with connection cables and a voltage changer. The voltage changer enables you to switch between 3.3v and 5v, which is highly useful if you are working with different types of devices or electronics. Additionally, the included cables make it easy to connect to any USB-enabled device. Overall, I would highly recommend the DSD TECH USB to TTL Serial adapter with FTDI FT232RL Chip to anyone who works with electronics on a regular basis. The quality of the product is exceptional, and the included features make this adapter stand out from the rest. Whether you are a professional or a hobbyist, this adapter will meet all of your needs and expectations.

Great, well made OSX compatible usb to serial board
Works perfectly to flash esp chips on OSX Big Sur, very nice packaging, though needs removal from case and case modification to access some pinouts (DTR, for example). 3.3v VCC is steady and has been sufficient to supply esp01/07 programming and esp32 development boards.

A Good Inexpensive FTDI Converter
A good compromise between the unreliable cheap ftdi devices and the expensive units available from FTDI themselves. It comes with a six wire connector (seen in the 5th photo on this page) and a tiny manual in 7 languages. Selectable 3.3 or 5 volts. It has an two unpopulated rows of connectors giving access to other serial control pins. If you need these then you can get the case apart and solder header pins on or just solder a single wire if that's all you need. The device comes with two jumpers, one to select 3,3 or 5 volts and the other so you can test by connecting tx to rx. If TTL data is being sent to the device but not being read from the USB port then the data lights will not flash. I am using this with a GPS module and a wire soldered to the DSD pad to provide a Linux PC with a time signal including Pulse Per Second. Also consider from Amazon the a similar device but with a wider range of voltages and signal pins, the DSD TECH SH-U09C5 USB to TTL UART Converter Cable with FTDI Chip Support 5V 3.3V 2.5V 1.8V TTL.

Easy USB PC connection for Arduino
Not the cheapest USB serial interface but appears to be well made and very easy to interface to an Arduino. The required software libraries needed to drive the device are readily available and easy to load into the Arduino IDE. I had mine working with an Arduino microcontroller and talking to my Mac Pro in about 10 minutes from opening the package. A good choice if you need an extra serial port. The plastic case also offers protection to the device if you need to use it on the end of a long cable .

Works with SONOFF Zigbee Hub
I bought this to flash the SONOFF Zigbee Hub with Tasmota and it flashed it with no problems. The jumper on mine came set to 3.3v but make sure you check this before you try to flash anything. It does come with M (USB adapter) > F dupont cables. However just a heads up, to flash the SONOFF I needed male to go through the holes on the SONOFF PCB so I bought some dupont cables off ebay but they were slightly too big to go through the holes in the PCB. I ended up using the individual solid cores from a CAT6 cable and these were quite a good fit.

Works well, cable is decent quality
Worked straight away out of the box. It provides enough power to run a STM32 micro controller. The cable is of a decent quality and is long enough for the purpose.

Essential tool for debricking and flashing locked-down routers
A reliable, rock-solid USB to TTL Serial Adapter that gives you direct, low-level access to hardware. If you are into tinkering, flashing custom firmware, or recovering "bricked" electronics, this DSD TECH USB to TTL Serial Adapter is an absolute must-have for your workbench. I bought this for a specific weekend project: converting a locked-down $25 T-Mobile Cellspot (TM1900) into a fully unlocked ASUS RT-AC68U router. To perform that conversion, standard web-based firmware updates won't cut it. You need a direct, low-level hardware terminal connection to the router's processor—and this little adapter handled the job flawlessly. My Experience and Observations: • Genuine FTDI Chip Stability: The main reason I picked this specific adapter is the FTDI FT232RL chip. Cheaper serial adapters often use questionable clone chips that suffer from driver issues or erratic signal drops. This FTDI chip was recognized immediately by Windows without any driver headaches and provided a completely stable, rock-solid terminal connection throughout the entire process. • Essential for Low-Level Console Access: The adapter acted as the perfect physical bridge, converting my computer's USB signal down to the 3.3V TTL signal expected by the router's internal PCB headers. It allowed me to bypass the ISP's bootloader locks, interact directly with the CFE (Common Firmware Environment), dump my original MAC address backups, and clear the NVRAM manually. • The Ultimate "Debricking" Lifeline: When you're modifying bootloaders or flashing non-standard firmware, there is always a risk of a bad flash leaving you with a dead device. Having this serial connection hooked up to read real-time boot logs is the only way to diagnose boot failures and manually re-flash corrupted partitions. • Helpful Status LEDs & Voltage Switch: The onboard LEDs for TX, RX, and Power are incredibly helpful for verifying that data is actually moving back and forth when debugging. Plus, the jumper switch makes it very easy to toggle between 3.3V and 5V logic depending on what board you are working on. Final Thoughts: This $10–$15 adapter allowed me to transform a cheap $25 ISP unit into a high-performance, fully featured ASUS router that would have otherwise cost over $100. If you need a reliable serial interface for debricking routers, flashing microcontrollers, or hardware debugging, this DSD TECH unit is worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Ottimo prodotto
Adattatore uart perfetto e funzionale . Sono riuscito ad interfacciarmi coi un vecchio modem/router linksys bloccato e piallarlo a dovere prima di ricaricare firmware mod.
