The media could not be loaded. The SmallRig Quick Release (QR) Plate for the DJI RS 4 Mini is a replacement QR plate for the DJI Mini’s lower QR plate. The SmallRig lower QR plate is a little heavier and slightly sturdier than the stock DJI plate but fits perfectly in the DJI gimbal. One issue I had with the DJI lower QR plate is that the lock arm the lock that holds the upper QR plate points straight back from the plate when locked. This limits how far back a camera can be moved during balancing without the lock arm hitting the roll-axis arm. The SmallRig lower QR plate instead has a knurled knob for locking the upper QR plate that does not protrude as far back as the DJI lock arm – providing better clearance with the roll-arm.One issue I noticed with the SmallRig plate is that the lip of the QR plate lock that holds the upper QR plate does not extend as far as the lip of the DJI plate lock. With the DJI lower QR plate, even when the lock is fully released, there is no chance that the upper QR plate and camera can be lifted out of the lower QR plate. With the SmallRig lock, if not careful when loosening the knurled knob, it is possible to loosen it enough that the upper QR plate and camera can be lifted out of the lower QR plate (i.e., coming free of the gimbal.) This simplifies installing or removing the upper QR plate into or out of the lower QR plate but can be an unwelcome surprise when moving the upper QR plate as part of balancing the gimbal’s roll arm.Overall, this is a nicely designed, well-made QR plate. It is not expensive or unreasonably priced given the quality, but it still seems hard to justify spending the money for this plate unless your original plate has been lost or damaged, or the lock arm on the original plate interferes with balancing the gimbal.

This arca Swiss plate works perfectly with the DJI RS4 Mini. The silver finish is a good match to the gimbal. The knurled knob allows you to dial it in just perfectly to attain the best balance.

It's nice having a spare plate and this one worked a treat for the Mini 4. The tightening works just fine. Made well, standard Small rig quality.No complaints, and it does what it's suppose to do.
