I was worried to try this because I've heard there can be problems with freeze dried raw chicken. I decided to take a risk and order them. To my happy relief they looked very fresh and sanitary. They have almost no smell but if anything a slight, fresh chicken smell. I appreciate they have no added colors, chemicals or salt - just pure raw chicken. One of my cats loves them. The other likes them sometimes. (You can't please all cats.) The container keeps them fresh and helps prevent them from getting squished. If they do get squished then they turn into powder that won't work as a treat. All you can do at that point is mix it in with regular cat food. These are a good treat option!
