Perfect Replacement for Original Sony Memory Stick
Like the reviewer below, I have a Sony DSC-F707 digital camera (purchased in early 2002). I have been using the memory sticks that I purchased at the time I acquired the camera. The memories have begun having access problems when the camera starts; repeatedly ejecting and inserting the memory stick solves the problem (so far) but doesn't bode well. Finding these Sony memory sticks available for a satisfactory price was a godsend. The package contains a Duo Memory Stick which is not size compatible with the original memory stick. However, the package also includes an adapter which "converts" the Duo chip into a classic memory stick. Works perfectly in the camera. On the card reader interface on my PC, the adapter case was just a bit too fat to plug in; I had to remove the Duo chip from the adapter and plug it into the reader in order to read the jpeg files on the chip. Not a big deal and may not be the case for most flash memory readers.

Perfect solution for Sony DCR-PC120
I needed a new memory card for my old Sony DCR-PC120 camcorder. I knew 128MB is the max stick it could handle, and I wanted the max, but what card to buy was the question. I almost purchased a vintage 128MB memory stick for in excess of $30. But through careful research, I learned that this inexpensive card with the adapter would work just fine for my old camcorder. The information was right. Popped this one in and the camcorder saw it immediately and it works perfectly. As for getting the photos / Mpeg clips off of the card, I just popped the card, with the adapter still attached, into my also newly purchased Kingston 19-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-HS219/1 then and work with them just like any other file. No proprietary software, etc. needed.

my old Sony still lives
I love my old old Sony CyberShot with it's great big old Zeiss zoom lens, its large, easy to detect without looking operating buttons, enough weight to feel secure in my hands, and not so many options that I need a college course to understand how to use the thing. You can probably guess that I just don't get along with these new tiny cameras that fit in the pocket. And I'm so grateful to Amazon for still pointing to the memory stick I need for my old friend. I suspect I'm not the only one who still loves their old DFC F707. Fighting obsolescence is not my way of life except in this case,

You got no choice with Sony products =/
It works as it should with no hiccups. It's Sony proprietary. It's either Sony or a SanDisk if you want a Memory Stick that you can just pop in and forget about without worrying if it's gonna fail and lose your data. I use this stick in a Sony digital recorder and performed well for recording all my lectures while in college. Get one if you need one. Pros: - No incompatibilities with Sony devices. Will perform as needed Cons: - Only works with Sony devices (proprietary)

Compatible with old Memory Stick in Sony DSC-P71 camera
This memory stick was purchased for a Sony DSC-P71 camera in order to double the number of pictures. The Memory Stick Duo is smaller than the original Memory Stick in this old camera. The existing memory is also 128 MB, which is the maximum size for the Sony DSC-P71. The Sony DUO MSH-M128A 128 MB Memory Stick (Retail Package) includes the required adapter for installation in the camera. This memory and adapter are functionally equivalent to the original Memory Stick. There is no difference in operation. The original 128 MB full size Memory Stick is still available at about twice the price. The Memory Stick Duo is a more cost effective option if you don't mind an adapter. Note: The Sony DSC-P71 camera will accept DUO but not PRO DUO Memory Sticks.

Works, but small
good gosh, am I so blind that I couldn't tell this was a 128 Megabyte stick. Hardly anything fits on 128Mb anymore. NOTE to self, READ carefully.

Great Stocking Stuffer/gift
I love to do cool Christmas stockings for our adult kids (20-30ish). When they come home for the holidays they always download a bunch of picures on their tiny phones to share with us. I can hardly see them without a mignify glass. So this year I put a couple of these Sony Memory sticks in their stockings. Needless to say, although they love their annual dental and personal hygiene supplies, they were very pleased! ("Oh wow this is great!") This way next year they can bring home pictures, music, and even video if they want! I recommend this for the hard to buy for techie....Everyone can use more storage!
