Told me it was likely the intake manifold. (Like one of the other reviewers, I had also had the original intake manifold gaskets replaced about five years earlier.) My engine oil cooler lines were leaking as well, and my driveway was becoming a mess. My shop wanted $933 to replace upper and lower manifold gaskets and oil cooler lines. Even though I'm no master mechanic (more like an unskilled pre-apprentice), I decided to save about $750 and try to do the job myself. A little intimidating at my level of experience. Bought these gaskets and they seemed very well-made. (Note: the box DID INCLUDE TWO, count 'em, TWO valve cover gaskets.) I used YouTube videos as a reference (1A Auto Parts has a very good collection of How To Fix Your Ancient Vortex-Powered GM Truck videos) and I actually managed to do a good job. The gaskets snapped right into place. Truck runs great now, not a drop of coolant or oil on my driveway any longer. I'd advise anyone without much mechanical experience (like me) to watch several YouTube videos on the subject first before attempting this. You will get a very good idea of what is involved, what problems to expect, and which tools you will need. I am glad that I decided to bite the bullet and do this myself.
