I don’t think the ad states this: the arm does lock or click into a solid holding position when not in use. I was worried it may fall over and be annoying but it stays up well. The rubber foot grips to ceramic tile floor ok, as long as it’s not too dirty on the floor, otherwise it just slides to the first grout joint and stops (which is fine in my instance).

This kick door stop was exactly what I had been looking for. It's been reliable and convenient. Installation was straightforward.

What can I say, it works fine. Wish it was easier to release, usually have to bend over to pull it up rather than just use my foot, but that's not really a horrible thing.

We got two of these for our front and back doors. They were easy for my husband to install and work great at keeping the door open when it's windy. The rubber sticks to the floor and keeps the door in place. We can even prop it part-way open if we want.

Worked for a couple of days & then it doesn’t hold the door in place anymore. It just slides along until it catches on the floor mat. :( I’m definitely disappointed.
