At Purina they know what they are doing. We've tried everything from Royal Canin and our cat doesn't touch it. She sniffs it and walks away. Desperate for a different dry food, we tried Purina and tadaaaa she immediately starred eating it. No transition, nothing. We had to switch in the past when we moved and the old food wasn't available anymore and she immediately accepted Purina senior dry food. Now she's got CKD and needs her special diet. So we are Purina buyers and that's how it will stay.

My cat likes it.

A few months ago I noticed my 18 year old cat seemed a little disoriented and watched him. He looked dizzy then started to howl. I scoop him up and rush him to the animal ER. Turns out he has high blood pressure and advanced kidney disease. Tests reveal his kidneys were only working at 10%. He was in fatal condition. I was given a prescription for the blood pressure, informed about signs he was suffering(and needed to be euthanized) and what to do with his body should he "pass". I tried several brands of the wet food (needed to help him stay hydrated) but he wouldn't eat anything but this. It's only been 2 months and he is doing better, his kidney function is now at 25% which is survivable, and it all attributed to this(getting his bp down just keeps his kidneys from getting worse). This definitely improved his kidney function.

I have an elderly cat that has kidney disease and after having a veterinarian review her, they recommended putting her on a kidney care formula diet so that the food she eats has lower phosphorous, which is better for keeping her healthy. My younger cats have always enjoyed the Purina brand, so I purchased their pro plan kidney function dry food in turn. The cost of this kidney care dry food was cheaper than other brands, especially for the size of this bag, which was helpful in my decision making. I'm big on reviewing the ingredients for any food I purchase, and there is no exception when it comes to my cats, so I was delighted to see that there were no by-products or any other potentially unhealthy or harmful ingredients. I mixed in a little bit of this with her current dry food, which at the time, she did happily eat. However, once a majority of her bowl was the kidney diet food, she started avoiding it. While I'm not sure if the smell bothers her or the taste, but she stopped eating it, so I ended up switching her to a different brand of prescription dry food. I'm sure it may work for other cats that have this diagnosis, but it didn't for mine to my dismay.

You must have a prescription from your veterinarian to purchase this food. My 17 1/2 yr old cat started having issues that the vet determined would be managed by putting him on the kidney focused food. My cat took a day to adjust to. Now he doesn't even sniff the regular cat food fir my other cats. He has a regular appetite & put on weight. His hair is back to normal. He has more energy. Great food for a cat with this special kidney diet.

Like many cats, ours are finicky eaters. They've been eating Purina's "Indoor" kibble for years, but when both developed kidney disease, we had to search for a more appropriate option. The one kibble variety they liked, was too large for one cat to eat (because of dental issues). We introduced the Pro Plan by gradually mixing it in with their old kibble. They weren't happy with the change, but seem to be getting used to it.

Hoy le llegaron las croquetas a mi gata, le han gustado hasta ahorita, espero que le sigan gustando más tiempo al igual que sus próximos estudios ya salgan mejor sus riñones. Le han gustado más las croquetas que la comida húmeda de la misma línea.

Muy buenas Croquetas, pero son difíciles de comprar.

La mayor ventaja que le veo es que es de las pocas marcas que encontré que no tienen pollo y que además ayuda en el tema renal, una de mis gatitas es alérgica y es un problema.

El veterinario me la recomendó mucho para mi gatita que trae problemas del riñón, veremos como evoluciona pero por lo pronto le gustaron y eso ta es bueno, porque es una ridícula que casi nunca le gusta nada 🐱 Ya esta muy bien, ya es el segundo paquete que pido pero aunn tuene del anterior a rendido bastante.

Mi gato no se ha quejado porque se la come
