MacBook Pro Charger, MacBook Air Charger, SIXNWELL Replacement Magsafe 2 85W T-Tip Power Adapter for Apple MacBooks (s)

I bought this hoping it would be a good replacement from my 85w MagSafe power adapter with MagSafe 2 that came with my mid-2015 MacBook pro. It didn't work 100% from day one, every time it was plugged in it had to be wiggled around a bit in order to charge, it would charge very slow then today it got REALLY hot and just stopped working. Now it doesn't work at all, I'd stay well clear of this. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed and wish I could get my money back for this very bad product.

had bought one before with very good reviews. didnt meet my expectation when it arrived. although i bought that for around 35 quid, it looked cheap and nasty.compared to that this one has not as good reviews and it is cheaper but the goods is way better built and has a genuine feel to it. i only bought it because it showed price slash down from£69 to £23. i think i did a good job by choosing this product.

All looked well and good when unpackaged, but product is not 100%.It takes numerous attempts at connecting/disconnecting the cable to get it to register as charging.It shows a green charged LED sometimes when it is mot showing as connected to the MacBook, and then sometimes has no orange charging LED when it is actually showing as charging!!The adaptor box gets incredibly hot during use, which is a worry. My original Apple one also would heat up, but not to the point where it was not safe to touch it!!

The charger works well and charges quickly. I like the design, with the same neat cable storage as the original version. The two drawbacks I have found are (1) The cable isn't as long as the official MacBook charger cables so doesn't stretch from the socket to my laptop on the table very easily, and (2) The charger only seems to work when my MacBook is switched on and not in standby - it won't work when my laptop is turned off. BUT it was cheaper than forking out a crazy amount of money for the genuine charger.

Stopped charging the laptop after 1 month, on looking into the connector, it appears that one of the pins has burned out (looks black instead of copper coloured). The light on the charge stays green but doesn't charge the laptops (two macbook pros, both same issue with this charger and work with another charger.)

The charge arrived and initially worked fine, then within ten days sometimes when I used the charger I had to sort of wiggle it to get the laptop to charge. Then over the next week or two it got increasingly unpredictable, to the point where now it does not charge at all. I brought the charger just a month ago and it is already completely useless so do not buy, reading other reviews this same issue has happened with others who have purchased this charger!

So, the charger which came with my MacBook Pro was still working, but the insulation around the cable started to flake off. I checked out the Apple store and was stunned by the price they asked for a new one - 89€!That's when I looked up alternatives, I got this one, and I'm perfectly happy with it.It does what it says on the tin, it looks and feels like the original one, highly recommended.
