The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Seasons One & Two

Having paid through the nose for this thanks to an extra charge from Customs and the Post Office I should be knocking stars off, but in truth the product is perfect!The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is a wonderful, funny, sometimes a tad risqué and entertaining anime about the troubles of dealing with a god; one who must never discover her power or else!She wanted an interesting world with aliens, espers and people from the future and she got her wish. She also wanted a foil and a boy with the nickname Kyon took her interest and they started the SOS Brigade, Haruhi thought “club” didn’t have a powerful enough image!Haruhi does what she wants, literally at times and the other three members with Kyon’s help humour her wishes and try to prevent worldwide calamity!“The Endless Eight”Eight seemingly repeated episodes as Haruhi forces the world to repeat the end of the summer break over 15000 times and we get eight nearly identical repeats of the same episode! First streamed online I could not figure out what was happening but on this BD I was intrigue by the small nuances present in each loop and especially the visual changes and new filming angles. I actually enjoyed the challenge of these episodes and ended up feeling so sorry for Nagato Yuki!It ended too soon but left its mark. At least there is a movie too!This worked on my cheap Blue ray player as did the DVD whereas my other region one’s do not, so great comfort from my wallet stinging purchase!Damn it was still worth it to see the complete Hurhi Suzumiya!

This blu ray is filled with very fun extras and all the episodes look great. As mentioned above, I wasn't sure if this would work on my region B (uk) blu ray optical drive in my pc, and it works without issues. I checked on the Bluray.com website before hand to check and they also said it worked on region B players. If you were worried about that before buying this item, you don't need to worry anymore.

This is going to be a review of the case and extra content because I assume that, if you are thinking about buying this show, you've already seen it and have decided you liked it enough to purchase the physical copy.The Blu-ray discs work on UK players without any issueThe case holds both seasons, which consists of 28 episodes as well as 2 bonus discs in a normal size Blu-ray case.If you're into the behind the scene with anime than this is a must buy because it has hours of extra features including the making of Haruhi.Overall I can't recommend this purchase enough if you like the series.

I can confirm that this works perfectly well in region B (UK) blu-ray players. Highly recommend!
