Upgrading a laptop from an old hdd which was old and slow and made the whole laptop slow too. It’s only used for a bit of email and internet but it’s so much quicker now as it’s a solid state drive... so no slow moving parts, it’s basically like a memory card.Great and cheap update rather than replace a while machine

Already install it since the last year.Works great leaving behind all classic HDD by far regarding the speed.I cloned my Dual Boot OS on it, built another storage partition and I was amazed...For the first time my laptop got up and fully running Windows 7 in less than 15 seconds.Since then, no other problems.I'm a heavy user running multiple tasks, DOS, building / configure other OS laptops, BIOS / UEFI update, so onnn... but never had any stress with it since then.Regarding speed, just watch the description.

...your Linux box.Linux unlike Windoze is a very efficient use of disc drive space and I could have purchased a USB stick to carry the entire Linux installation on my computer's 300GB HDD.Currently with all my programme options included my Linux foot print occupies less then 16gb of disc space.One day all PC's will have a more compact and efficient OS allowing the use of minimal resources.Why spin up 300gb to run the inefficient?I am about to migrate to a tiny SDD and retain all my systems and reduce my power foot print to about 10-15w/hr from 300w/hr.A move which will save me the cost of the new computer inside 12 months, based on the lower power consumption.One step at a time this way long journeys to change start.

Good budget option used for upgrading from an old HDD. Not tested any speeds but fast enough that now my cpu is the clear bottleneck. Massively improved boot speeds on a 10 year old i5 windows 10 desktop. Unless you have money to burn, I dont see the need to spend 50% more on branded products. Ive previously had a kingston SSD burn out and start smoking within 5 minutes of booting on.

Just what I wanted well made and an excellent design.I used this for a D drive for loading all software programmes too this fast drive is used in conjuction with the operating system loaded to a SSD M boot drive for C. I also have E drive as a 2TB HDD for storage. I am very pleased with this configuration on my new note book. Well pleased with my purchase and would recommend the drive.

I had some problems after 4 months however I assumed a lose wire as when I reattached the sata cable it was fine again.I thought nothing of it, it was working okay and fast so was happy minus a crash or two which I couldn't identify a cause. Now it's broke and won't start working. All other drives work fine, checked cables etc. no problems. SSD light comes on so power is working but not registering on the computer. As just over the 6 month period cannot return or discuss this with Amazon so will have to go to Torosus, very disappointing.

Cheap and works well. Not as fast as my samsung or crucial but well adequate for replacing slow laptop hard drives. I'd buy again and I have.

Das Umkopieren der vorherigen Installation auf SSD 480 GB auf die neue 1 TB-SSD erfolgte mit Paragon Partition-Manager problemlos. Bei erstem Start von Windows auf der neuen "Platte" gab es keinerlei Fehlfunktionen. Das Booten geht m.E. auch (gefühlt) schneller als vorher. Ein guter Kauf!!

je suis une femme de 67 ans, j ai installé ce disque dur sur un pc fixe HP tout en un, très facilement, et c est le jour et la nuit. Tellement agréable d ouvrir son pc, ça s ouvre tout de suite, ça ne rame plus..Par contre les jeux rament, est ce normal ?

Heb deze in de computer geplaatst zodat windows supersnel opstart. Heb nu 3 computers met een ssd schijf alleen voor Windows. Vergeleken met mijn gewone HD computers starten ze binnen no time op. Geweldig.

Comentario sobre el modelo 128GB:Controladora SM2258XT sin ram.La velocidad que he alcanzado por USB 3.0 ha sido de más de 210MB/s y durante 20GB no ha bajado velocidad. Supongo que por no haber saturado el primer bufer de escritura. No he hecho más pruebasVelocidad muy estable.Lo que más importa es la estabilidad y durabilidad. Veremos si esto se mantiene. De momento la primera impresión es buena.El único punto en contra es el elevado número de bloques inhabilitados en la flash que veo en la tabla SMART. Más de 100 en los dos que he comprado. En discos de más calidad nunca he visto tantos bloques malos de fábrica.Por el precio nada mal. Para unidad de almacenamiento auxiliar más que recomendado.
