Good quality for the price! Hard to cock.
Nice large pistol! Heavy and has a large grip. Harder to cock than spring piston pistols. I had to use the cocking extension to cock the pistol Powerful. Medium loudness. Not back yard friendly in my opinion. Good quality. Decent sights but a red dot makes aiming much easier. I would recommend this if you're not concerned about the loudness.

Very good first impression
Except for the excessive (6.5 lbs.+) trigger pull, this pistol performed above my expectations; especially its smoothness of operation and accuracy. I found a YouTube video that demonstrated how to reduce the trigger pull down to a tolerable level (maybe 3 lbs.). Cocking action is very tight and stiff for a period of time until the gun is "broken in" This is a very economical choice, and I feel that I got more than my money's worth. This gun was "spot on" consistent at the bench with a scope. There isn't a scope stop depression on the rail, so the scope will migrate unless you make provisions to anchor the mounts against the strong action. Except for the velocity, I feel this model Benjamin is superior to the similar Hatsan 25.

Things i would change but decent gun
Really am liking this pistol for the power and accuracy but not to fond of the big clunky handle and trigger at shortest pull setting is kinda far....im sure i could get used to it, but Im sure i will do small fabrications in the future to make the gun my own. I sure am loving the power and the rifled break barrel of this pistol. Update: Tore apart the gun to find all the improvements that could be easily done. First i countersunk the barrel like my rifle to see if that would help the pellet enter the rifling of the barel but this didnt help much and i still have to use an insertion tool. Next i noticed the barrel didnt line up right all the time like the break barrel mechanism wasnt catching right all the time. I then noticed the the catch was resting almost in the center of the quarter inch catch pin when the barrel was closed so i filed the catch to make it a little more secure but didnt go to far since the spring was kinda weak but it works well now getting highest air pressure consistently. The last thing i looked at was the trigger mechanism which was engineered very poorly but can be fabricated by grinding the rivets and remove some here and braze or weld some there to some of the mechanism. I just didnt have the drive yet to put that much time into a toy. Lots of things i dont like about the design of this gun but it was cheap, i kinda like the project of it and, it was the fastest i could find in a pistol

Amazing!
I bought one a few years ago and have been surprised at the accuracy and consistency even between different pellet manufacturers! I find it enjoyable plinking pinecones against a safe wall of dirt when I go camping. I am so impressed that I bought a second one and am keeping it in the original box, in original un-fired condition for my heirs...I think that much of it!

Gun had a poor experience don’t buy one!!!
They need to look at the functional aspect of the barrel mine would not fire and when you think that you have fired at the object your shooting at there was no dent or a hole in the target there was no hole in the cardboard and target so thinking about maybe I didn’t put one in the barrel so I added another pellet and then tried to fire it again and no hole in the cardboard even at 4 feet ? So with the barrel pumped the barrel was dark and no sunlight thru the barrel so I got a bamboo stick and pushed it down the barrel 2 pellets fell out the barrel what a disaster and disappointed item to have bought it !! Amazon would not replace it but I called the seller and they agreed to give me a return label I sent it back for a refund.

Accuracy and powerful air pistol.
This breaking barrel is very good and power. After sight adjustment and testing around 140 shots, it is now very accurate and powerful. This 2nd gen is more power than the 1st gen since I have both and I can tell this. Also, it is a bit heavier than the 1st and feel good in the hand. It takes some times to get used to with the trigger pull and rear sight adjustment to get accuracy. Now, I can hit a tennis size target approximately 40 feet away without a problem. What I hope in the next version of this Gun with a rotary ammo clip which will save time loading every pellet. I highly recommend this gun for both beginners and experienced shooters same. Peace and have a great day. BN.

Not extremely accurate. Maybe an extreme waste of money ...
I've tried many types, brands, and weights of pellets in this gun ... It just ain't happnin.' The trigger pulls into tomorrow. (It's reeeeeeeeeally ..... uncomfortably long. And that hurts the accuracy, I'm sure.) There are prolly better, more accurate guns to spend your money on. I truly feel I wasted my money, not only on this gun, but on all the tins of pellets I had to buy to make sure this thing truly IS a waste of money. (Clear as mud?) I have several air guns ... They, as with any (firearm?) have certain preferences with regard ammunition (i.e. shape, grain, etc.) My other guns are incredibly accurate at long distances once the proper pellets were introduced. It's interesting ... While you're finding the right pellet, you hit the center of your target and get a few "flyers" ... until you land on the right pellet. Then you and shoot the pellet darn near though the same hole you made with the previous pellet ... time, after time, after time. No more "flyers", ever. This little joker is all over the place at even at 15 - 20 yards no matter what you put into it. You shoot nothing but "flyers", and once in a while, if you get lucky, a pellet finds its way to the center of your target! I've tried everything from 6.64 grain non-lead to 10.34 hollow-point Hunter Extremes (which ironically are the "most" accurate out of all of them) and can't get better than a 5-6" group. That's horrible! And to think that Benjamin use to be the gold standard ... back in the day. I mean ... it isn't like I haven't truly given this thing a chance. Honestly, I've had rubberband guns far more accurate than this gun. Less powerful? Yes, certainly, but far more accurate. (Cheaper, too!) <Big Grin>

Nice, but a big Star deduction from what would have been 5...
3 Stars off because... Nice, but they sent me one someone had already opened and fiddled around with!!! The trigger's travel screw was bottomed out! These are supposed to be very sensitive, so that's rather disturbing! Thank goodness the screw head isn't marred! Usually, these have room for adjustment, but it's turned all the way clockwise. I hope they didn't replace it with a longer one before they returned it! This seems the be a common 1st step mod for over enthusiastic enthusiasts. They often install a screw that's too long. Crossing my fingers it's okay. Also, one of the factory presentation cardboard box tab slots is slightly torn because some overly anxious fool pulled on the slot instead of the tab that keeps the lid flap shut! Very disappointing, because I like to collect the boxes for my airguns in case at some point down the line I want to sell. It makes the sale much more attractive when you have an original packaging in nice condition. The box is also slightly crumpled because though I received it in an outer box, it was most likely previously shipped in a bag! Amazon really needs look at hiring pickers/packers with better judgement! I've received many items this past year that we're shipped to their final destination in bags instead of protective boxes! Am I happy with the Benjamin Trail NP Mark II? Yes, if it doesn't ultimately turn out to be messed with internally. It seems to function okay. The trigger does seem lighter than described in the video reviews I've seen. I'll have to inspect the internals now to see if anything else has been tweeked like the trigger mechanism springs! Why can't I just get a perfect product for once?! I would return it for a new one, but I'm afraid the next might also have issues that could possibly be worse. Plus, I opted for interest free payments because I was a bit budget focused when ordering.
