Bought this a a replacement cord for a computer and it works great.

I was gifted an Inspiron 1012, but it didnt come with a charger. This charger fit perfectly for my device. I dont hear any electrical whines, nor do I feel excessive heat from the charger. I think this should last at least a year, and is certainly less expensive than a Dell branded charger. The plug is solid, and there have been no issues with this adapter.

I would have rated it higher but it did not work for my Dell Inspiron 1012. I ended up calling Dell directly. They sent me a new one from that be of their licensed distributors which worked. I am not one to return things unless it was awful awful awful. I am not sure why this did not work considering some of the other reviewers said it worked for theirs. I support small business so even though it did not work, I am not going to return it. Please pay it forward however you can for the next person who really might be in need of help.
