An Inspirational Collection of Contemporary Poems
This collection of poems by Alicia Cook contains extraordinary contemporary poetry. This book evokes every emotion from pure happiness to anger and sadness. I especially love the layout of this book because it illustrates Alicia Cook's inspiration behind each poem with her blackout poetry. I use blackout poetry with my students and it is as fun to read as it is to make. It is truly a great read for those with a passion for poetry and those who like reading inspirational texts. Entranced is the type of book you will read and keep close by to reread again and again.

Consider me entranced.
I am so in love with Alicia's writings. What she did with the blackout poetry next to the original poems absolutely blew me away. I couldn't put the book down and I plan to read it over and over until her next one comes out (fingers crossed)Absolutely stunning I recommend this book to everyone now.

Refreshingly original
Alicia Cook deftly articulates a range of emotion in her poetry, but her genius lies in her erasures of her own writing. The blackouts are on the pages opposite their respective source poems, and they add meaning to those poems via emphasis or juxtaposition. Highly recommended.

Black out poetry & more
I am totally mesmerized in this beautiful collection of poems. What aids to its charm is that each poem is followed by a black out poem. I connected with the flow and honesty of her work, truly enjoyable.

Love, love, love!!!
Alicia's words are beautiful. Her poetry is moving and tells delicious tales. Each written poem has a companion blackout poem...which I love! I couldn't be more delighted with this purchase. So happy to support this talented soul.

I like her style but too many poems about taking back ...
I like her style but too many poems about taking back a cheating guy, again and again, and continuing to love him, miss him and nothing much learned. Blah. Depressing. Just felt as if she was too weak or beaten down fight back, LEAVE or kick him to the curb. Definitely not my kind of poems. Not a happy life, that's for sure. I wouldn't recommend this book.

Amazing!
Wow. What beautiful talent. Alicia Cook could write on leaves and I would buy them all and make a tree out of her words.
