I don’t know what it is about rocks but my kids love them! Great for in the house rocks which don’t create a mess and let’s them work on colors and sorting!

Actual stars: 2-1/4Your reasons for buying a bag of pretty rocks will definitely influence how you feel about this assortment.I broke my review down by several factors:SIZE ***** 5 starsthis bag is mostly larger stones, larger than normally would be used for wire wrapped jewelry, for exampleASSORTMENT *** 3 starsAbout a third of my bag was dyed agate, which, to me, is just filler. I did get other stones, such as amethyst and rose quartz, but the lion's share was agate.DIRTY * 1 starthere was so much polishing compound left on the stones that I needed to wash them and when I did, SO much dye ran off from the dyed agate. If you are buying these for a children's party (as so many reviews/questions mention) please keep in mind these stones aren't clean (at least mine were not)PACKAGING: ZERO starsThe stones were in a thin zip style bag, then in a padded mailing envelope (I am guessing) then in an Amazon shipping bag. Both the zip bag and paper envelope were completely busted open and every single rock was in the Amazon shipping bag. That bag tore (I would assume from having 5 pounds of rocks shift around inside) and if the hole were any larger I would have lost a lot of my purchase due to the damage. As it was, my bag weighed out at just shy of 5 pounds.I averaged my review out to 2-1/4 stars. (but I posted it as 3, since I am mostly happy with the purchase)I bought these for the natural stones, for charm bags and such, so getting so much dyed stone was a bit disappointing, but in the end, I do like the dyed stone as vase filler, so I am ok with the agate. (as unnaturally colored as they are) If you want natural stones, I do not recommend this assortment.If you are buying it for a children's party, be aware you will probably want to wash the stones before the kids handle them.

All the rocks are very unique, however, almost of them are larger than 1 inch. So I won't be able to use the majority of them, unless I break them and purchase a rock tumbler to resmooth them

I wanted tumbled rocks to hand out to my high school seniors as worry stones during our mental health and wellness unit. These are the perfect size to carry in a pocket and the mix I got came with a large variety of colors. There were 231 stones in my order (you can see sizes in the container I put them in) and only a handful appeared to be dyed.

I’ve been ordering from this company for years but I don’t think I will be any more. Most of the crystals were very beat up/chipped, and the there was a lot of river rock looking stones in with them as well. They used to have the best tumbles around. I was very disappointed this time. Only about 1/2 the stones were as expected. I hate leaving a bad review because of how much I loved this company but i was very saddened by this order.

I ordered through this company previously and was very unimpressed. I almost didn't order again, but they were the only company I found that was selling both the size and amount of stones I needed and although my previous order had been less then great, I knew they weren't dyed or glass. I should also add that my previous order was much smaller, so there was less to go off of. This time, I received so many great stones. Yes, there was an abundance of one stone in particular, but I got tons of others as well and I would say many different kinds. The size of them were great! Yes, they came in a Ziploc bag which makes them less desirable for gift giving, BUT, they were for myself so who cares? I didn't require a nice bag that was going to be ripped open anyway. I'll also add that I have a rock tumbler so any that seemed less desirable, I am able to run through that, but there were very few that were that bad.

Price is great.i ordered 5 lbs for a variety which I have from many companies,1 piece amethyst,2 quartz,1 lapis.would be nice if more was in 5 lbs then the cheaper agate and less popular stones.even 2 per pound would of been nice .many other bulk sellers have a good variety.sqddened by this
