Titan A.E. [2000]- Includes FREE Robots Creative Studio Activity Disc [DVD]

I must have been 10 years old when I first saw this gem and although I didn't know what it was called I instantly fell in love with it and it was another 10 years before I found it on Amazon and decided to relive one of my favourite childhood films.This must have been the film that sparked off Science Fiction for me with a spread of aliens, technology and one great idea uniting them all. The idea being that in the future the spaceship Titan leaves Earth just as it is destroyed by the Drej, an electrifying blue alien race, taking the final hopes of mankind into the depths of space.Watching it back at the age of 20 I now see that perhaps some of the voice acting isn't the best but as a child when I first saw this I didn't care about the voice acting. It had everything for a ten year old child, racey action, suspense, futuristic guns going pew pew pew and that was what mattered.So for me this was a great science fiction started and even at 20 years old I still think that this is one of my childhood favourites.

Saw this at it's release and thought it took great risks in terms of storytelling (not many films begin with Earth's destruction) this became a victim of animated movies moving away from traditional 2D into 3D CG, and this was buried by FOX with little fanfare at release.The story is ultimately similar to other sci fi properties like Star Wars, Trek etc with our hero on a journey of discovery through the stars, filled with aliens, space battles and adventure.The animation is solid, a mix of 2D with 3D CG ships and backgrounds, similar in use to shows like The Simpsons & Futurama among others.A decent voice cast, Matt Damon, Bill Pullman round out a fun filled family adventure (though kids under 7 may struggle to keep upor interested) this is a underrated appreciated gem that needs reappraisal.

The Animation is a little dated but it's still a good film

I love this movie, it's good to see it again, perfect for all the family. I haven't watched this in yeeears, I can't remember where I first saw it, whether it was the old sky analogue years ago. But I'm glad I have my own copy now, on dvd. It's got some wicked tunes as well, love this movie the story is an original very well made, happy times. 😉👍🏾

very nostalgic, the animation is still cool, plot great, characters very well written; Gune is still amazing! would watch again and again

Minor classic here really, let down by the way it was marketed and not really knowing what it was, but well worth the time to watch it, a few nice twists, some you see coming, some you don't.Enjoyable way to spend the time really

Ottimo cartone animato sci-fi, sia dal punto di vista tecnico che artistico. Non adatto a bambini piccoli risulta invece godibile anche da parte degli adulti. Alieni distruggono la Terra e gli umani, uniti, cercano il loro futuro tra le stelle. Mi rammarica il fatto che purtroppo non esista ancora la versione in blu ray, visivamente lo meriterebbe. DA AVERE.

Peliculón mayúsculo, casi de culto. Película que mezcla dibujos animados con 3D (2000), es un clasicazo de la animación. Muy en la línea del Universo Star Wars, con una historia interesante y entretenida.

Envoi rapide et bien emballé.Quel plaisir de revoir ce dessin animé cher à mon enfance, réalisé par l'équipe de Poucelina et Anastasia ! Je ne comprends toujours pas pourquoi le film à fait un flop alors qu'il avait tous les ingrédients pour fonctionner : un scénario SF bien ficellé, des personnages attachants, une super musique, et des graphismes tops pour l'époque -aujourd'hui, certaines animations ont mal vieillies je l'accorde-.Merci pour ce moment de nostalgie !

Uno dei film di animazione per me,più belli. Purtroppo passato in sordina ai tempi ed ora poco conosciuto e sottovalutato. Una storia classica,ma ben scritta e con il giusto mix tra leggerezza e profondità. Consigliato a chiunque ami la fantascienza;ma anche a chi solo ami i bei film.

Hace mucho tiempo que vi esta pelicula de animación ( por cierto la última de sus autores, arruinados tras esta maravilla conceptual) y se quedo conmigo. Esperanzadora y provocadora a partes iguales.
