Disappointing "Buffered" Blend – Not the Pure Magnesium I Expected
I bought this specifically because I wanted Magnesium Bisglycinate, which is known for being high-quality and gentle on the stomach. Unfortunately, this is a "buffered" version, which is just a marketing term for "diluted with cheap fillers."By "buffering" the high-quality glycinate with Magnesium Hydroxide, the manufacturer is basically cutting the good stuff with a cheap laxative (the same ingredient in Milk of Magnesia). The Problems:False Economy: They claim a high "elemental magnesium" count on the label, but most of that comes from the hydroxide, which has terrible absorption (only about 4%). You’re paying for magnesium your body can’t even use.Stomach Issues: The whole point of buying bisglycinate is to avoid the "bathroom emergency" effect. Because this is buffered, I experienced the exact bloating and laxative effects I was trying to avoid.Misleading Labeling: It’s frustrating that they bury the word "buffered" or hide the hydroxide in the fine print. If you have a sensitive stomach or actually want to raise your magnesium levels effectively, skip this. Look for a brand that says "100% Chelated" or "Non-Buffered." This blend is just a cheap shortcut that compromises quality for a smaller pill size

Buffed with magnesium hydroxide
They buffed it with magnesium hydroxide and it's poorest magnesium compund in terms of absorption it's a laxative could have added oxide or something.
