Satechi Mac mini M6, M5 Pro, M4 Hub & Stand with NVMe SSD Enclosure, Silver

Everything worked as I had hoped, I now have a 4TB SSD installed in my SATECHI and combined with the 2TB internal SSD installed my Mac Mini M4 pro and a 20TB external HDD installed an external hub I have hopefully taken care of my photography and video storage for several years to come. The SATECHI looks great under my Mac Mini but I would have preferred if all the USB ports on the front had been located at the rear but, I suppose that’s a minor issue. The SATECHI itself looks and feels like a good quality piece of equipment that should last. My only issue was when I originally ordered the SATECHI the online description didn’t make it clear enough that there are two versions and ordering the wrong one was an easy mistake to make. The SATECHI that I had originally ordered stated in the description that it was for the Mac Mini. However, it was actually for the Mac Studio which is about twice the size of the SATECHI for the Mac Mini.

Fits perfectly with my new Mac Mini M4. I have added a 4TB SSD to store my photo library and everything works perfectly. Great to have a SD card reader and the three USB-A ports. Quality is brilliant and could pass for an Apple product.

This is a brilliant solution for expanding your MacMini. Built-in SSD facility makes for less clutter than an external SSD and quick transfer speeds. Installing an internal SSD is very easy, with the screws and screwdriver supplied, and runs silently. The USB-A slots on the front allow connection of older devices that don't have USB-C, without fiddling around at the back of the MacMini. The cut-out in the rear of the device makes it really easy to turn the MacMini on and off, without picking the device up. My only design request would be to have a headphone/speaker socket on the rear, so you could connect external speakers without the plug and wire being permanently visible on the front of the MacMini (Apple design fault). That's why it only gets four stars, not five, as they missed a trick. (Luckily I could connect my external speakers through a monitor socket). It perfectly matches the design of the MacMini, so looks really cool and keeps things minimal.

I bought this on the basis of a you tube computer geek recommendation. No issues with it yet. Installed 2gb NVME ssd and that’s caused no issues. Upload of info to the hard drive has been awesomely fast. It has a very useful card drive on the front along with a couple of fast usb A ports. Very pleased so far after two weeks of use.

Well made , looks good and having seen lots of you tube reviews is a great option. I fitted a 1tb crucial ssd for extra storage where I put my photos- works perfectly.

Build quality is good and matches the MAC MINI. It offers the ability to connect older USB devices via the front ports. It's a shame it is only USB C not a Thunderbolt connection as you lose one of the three Thunderbolt ports on the MAC MINI. I have a 2TB SSD drive installed and use that for a back up using the MAC Tme Machine backup. It would have been good if there was a HDMI output at the rear as an option as you lose one of the Thunderbolt ports which could be used to drive a monitor. For my use I connect it to G-Drive Pro which has 2 Thunderbolt port so I do not lose one of the three Thunderbolt ports on the MAC MINI. Overall it is a well built base that offers USB ports for older devices, but could have been better, hence only 4 stars. I forgot to mention the cutout at the back which is good as you do not need to lift the MAC MINI up to switch it on.

Swiftly delivered and exactly as described. Added a 4TB SSD and connected to my Mac Mini 4 all now fully operational. The Satachi Mini Hub compliments the Mac beautifully and now I have one less USB C but 3 new USB A ports plus an SD card slot for reading my camera memory cards. Everything is packaged to look like one complete product but now the power switch is much more accessible, the added SSD makes backups easy and the extra ports increase productivity. The only fault is the Mac mini isn't fixed to the Hub meaning they move apart when you plug or unplug connectors but, it isn't that often so isn't a biggie. Would highly recommend.
