HO Track-Bed Roll, 24'

Nice but really loud. Doesn't dampen any sound.

This rolls out easily and can be glued in place in seconds. It's less fussy than cork. It's split in the middle so you can cut it to go around curves better but it's flexible enough that cutting it seems unnecessary. Just roll it out, bend it as needed, glue it in place and enjoy nice quite operation over your track.

Hard to curve have to cut to fit. Good value for the money.

Just right for my needs

I used cork roadbed many years ago on an "N" scale layout I built and didn't like working with it.It needed trimming and sanding after splitting and wasn't particularly flexible IMO. I started using Woodland Scenics foam roadbed when I switched to "HO" scale. I prefer this to cork because I find its flexibility and one piece design makes it easier to work with.The 24' roll is, of course, good for long runs giving you fewer seams to deal with. I do find it necessary to split the road bed around all curves and while this takes a little extra effort, both rolls an strips are scored for splitting. You can use a sharp hobby knife to cut along the score line but I usually tear it carefully ( going a few inches at a time) along the line. The type of road bed you use is a personal choice but I definitely recommend giving Woodland Scenics Track-Bed a try

When I bought this, the picture did not look like the actual product and the product isn't what I expected. Will do, but have used similar cork product like this in the past that was better, held nails better, looked better and was less money.....easier to work with.... It's ok, but that is about it...

Package arrived promptly, price point was very good, all items were as advertised, properly packaged and undamaged. I would certainly use this vendor again.

Used Tacky Glue on train board and back of Bed Roll. Let it set for a few minutes and then shaped the bed to rail pattern. Be sure to pencil in the rail pattern with the loose track in place. Mark the center line of the track and then when you cut the bed rail in half length wise, you use the center line to shape the bed roll around the curves. Found the Tacky Glue at my local craft store but you can buy it on Amazon. May be helpful to pin pieces in place as needed until they dry.

Easy to work with, you just have to cut it down the center markings and split into two pieces when working with curved sections. It would be nice to be able to pull apart like cork strips rather than having to cut.
