Can this be stored in the fridge daily for water?

The carafe is double wall insulated. No need to keep it in the fridge.

Do you suggest putting hot water in first to warm the carafe?

Actually I didn't after the first time using, I just rinsed it hot water then keep the hot water for about 12 hours to see if it kept the temperature, it cooled down a bit but still quite warm, then I just add boiling water in.
